About this mod Machine translation
Removed the ugly 'blowing snow' effect that Bethesda thought looked fine (obviously it didn't).
-Foreword-
What was Bethesda thinking?
Leaves this ugly snow/wind effect on Skyrim's snow-covered tundra,
Completely ruining the immersion for us explorers.
How are you guys going to go through years of modding if you don't try to remove this ugly effect?
-describe-
Clean and crisp; this mod replaces two effects grids:
'fxambsnowblowingdrifttip.nif' and 'fxambsnowblowingplane.nif'
Use an empty file. Therefore, you will never see this ugly effect again.
-Require-
No!
-compatibility-
This will replace the previously mentioned mesh (not the texture), but from what I can see,
No other mods on them will affect them anyway!
This means that this mod will remove the effects of locations introduced by mods like 'Enderal' or 'Beyond Skyrim'.
Happy Modding!

-Preface-
What was Bethesda thinking?
Leaving this ugly snow/wind effect all over the snowy tundras of Skyrim,
completely ruining the immersion of us explorers.
How have you guys gone years of modding without attempting to remove this ugly effect?
-Description-
Plain and simple; this mod replaces two effect meshes:
'fxambsnowblowingdrifttip.nif' and 'fxambsnowblowingplane.nif'
with empty files. Therefore, you will never see this ugly effect again, anywhere.
-Requirements-
None!
-Compatibility-
This will replace the meshes mentioned before (not textures), but from what I've seen,
no other mods affect them anyways!
That means this mod will remove the effect from locations introduced by mods like 'Enderal' or the 'Beyond Skyrim's.
Happy Modding!
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
