True Storm – Mindy’s Lightning Compatibility
This is just a small, very lightweight plugin that integrates the awesome lightning effects from Minty Lightning into all the real storm weather that was previously lacking. I've included a standalone version for those using True Storms, as well as separate versions for all combinations of True Storms and other big weather overhauls. These requirements will vary depending on the exact weather overhaul of True Storms and Minty's Lightning you're using, so be sure to read the instructions included with the installer to make sure you have the right one :)
Overview
- Integrated Minty's Lightning effect into a handful of previously missed storms.
- Includes all necessary options for any True Storms weather patch combination. Be sure to read the instructions in the installer so you know what instructions are required.
- I also introduced lightning effects to Solstheim, which added some fun :) During Solstheim's equally rare thunderstorms, you can hardly see lightning now.
Install and load orders
This patch requires the official SSE ports of Minty's Lightning and True Storms to be loaded, but the order in which they are loaded does not matter as long as this patch is loaded after both.
**But please note** If you want it to work, there is a very important step you must take before using this patch. All you need to do is go into your data folder and rename the plugin called "LightngDuringStorm.esp" to "MintyLightningMod.esp". During the porting process, Minty Lightning's original SSE ports were accidentally renamed, resulting in some script errors being seen in the Minty Lightning plugin when trying to use the MCM menu. These script errors are fixed by simply renaming the plugin to its original name, so this patch was created with that in mind. This is an unfortunate extra step and hopefully temporary as L3s told me he will update the port when he has time, but it's the only workaround for now.
compatibility
-Wet&Cold - Wet&Cold and all related patches are fully compatible and can be used together in your setup.
**Otherwise, Minty's Lightning has absolutely no other compatibility, as it doesn't edit any other records, it just adds its own new effects. In fact, this patch isn't really about "resolving incompatibilities" per se, but rather moving those effects into True Storms' uniquely added weather, so there's no need to worry about incompatibilities.

Big thanks to Minty911 and fadingsignal for their fantastic weather models, and to L3s for the SSE port :)

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
