Added a Power that allows switching the compass for players who don't want to use the full UI. Have fun

Some of the stuff I took the longest to upload upon request.

Adds a power supply that allows the compass to be toggled. It does this by switching the bShowCompass INI setting at runtime. No complicated methods, no changes to the UI files, no types whatsoever. Just a harmless force. Select it, cast it, done. Wait 3 seconds for the power to cool down, then switch the compass again.

This setting is neither baked into the save file nor changed directly to the INI, and is only valid for the current game session: if you exit the desktop and reload the game, the game's loaded compass will be shown or hidden, depending on the setting saved in the INI. Nothing is changed into your game files.

Loading order: Doesn't matter. Should be compatible with any UI mod with all the bells and whistles, but if you use it you probably won't need it.

I don't know how to make a legendary version, so don't ask.

A little something I had lying around for the longest time, uploaded by request.

Adds a Power that allows to toggle the compass. It does so by toggling at runtime the bShowCompass INI setting. No convoluted methods, no changes in the UI files, nothing of the sort. Just a harmless Power. Select it, cast it, done. Wait 3 seconds for the Power to cool down before toggling the compass again.

The setting is neither baked into the save file nor directly changed into the INI and it has effect only on the current game session: if you quit to desktop and reload the game, the compass at game load will be either shown or hidden depending on the setting saved in your INI. Nothing gets changed into your game files.

Load order: irrelevant. Should be compatible with any UI mod with all the bells and whistles, but if you use one you probably don't need this.

I won't make a Legendary Edition version so don't ask.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
