About this mod Machine translation

This mod adds a clock to the HUD, showing the current time etc.

a matter of time

Have you ever found yourself walking through a dungeon or sitting in a bar asking yourself: how late is it? Will the sun shine outside, or will I see satellites outside? If so, this mod is for you!

Purpose of Mod

The mod adds some widgets to the HUD that can display different time-related information:

  • Can display the current time in game time using symbols and textual representations
  • Possibility to display the current date in the game date using text.
  • Can display real life time and date using text.

The mod is highly configurable via the SkyUI Mod configuration menu.

configuration

Configuration can be accessed through the Mod configuration menu. It is divided into three pages: General, Display and Control.

On the general page, you can choose which widget to display and how to display it, such as which symbol to use.

The second page (Display) controls options related to the arrangement, scale, and transparency of the widgets.

The third page (Controls) allows you to choose when and how the widget is displayed.

The final page (Settings) enables you to save and load settings so you can reuse them.

The control mode defines how the widget is displayed. Now, there are four ways:

Always: The widget will be displayed as long as the menu is not open

timed: The widget is displayed for a short period of time after you click the configured hotkey (configurable within the MCM option "Display Time")

Toggle: A configured hotkey to show and hide widgets

Periodic: Automatically display the widget at a configurable time, such as once an hour.

compatibility

This mod should be compatible with every other mod. In particular, it is compatible with Immersive HUD and Frostfall mods.

If you are using an IHUD mod and want the clock to display along with other HUD elements, then simply configure this mod to always display.

Require

This mod uses SkyUI's excellent HUD widget framework. So it won't work without SkyUI. You will need the latest version of SkyUI (5.2SE at the time of writing) as well as the latest SKSE64.

I should also mention that the interface of the HUD widget framework may not be stable right now as there is no documentation there. So if the interface changes in the next SkyUI version, this mod may no longer work (but it shouldn't break anything). If necessary, I will familiarize myself with the new interface as quickly as possible.

FISSES is also required if you want to save and load the settings you have made in MCM. FISSES is a mod that allows me to store and load settings (or other content) in text files. FISSES must be loaded before the A Matter of Time mod!

integral

Thanks to MrJack for providing the graphics for the SkyDial theme. Also a big thank you to Moosetrax for the quality astrolabe surface and splash markings.

Bag

There are now some language-specific packages. They contain the entire widget, so you only need to download one file.

Install

Installing the mod via NMM is easy: just activate it.

uninstall

If you want to uninstall the mod using NMM: deactivate it.

For manual uninstallation, delete the two files AMatterOfTime.esp and AMatterOfTime.bsa from the Data directory.

Uninstalling the mod should not affect anything in the game.

Known issues

After changing the timescale, the wrong time (1 real life second) may be displayed for a short period of time. This can also happen after a mod suddenly changes the time directly.

Using older versions of SkyUI or SKSE may also cause issues such as widgets not showing up or the MCM menu not showing up.

On some machines, the widgets and/or menus do not appear immediately. Sometim …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
