This mod adds spells that allow you to freeze targets in time and then unfreeze them at any time. Inspired by a spell from Skyrim's Lost Philosopher's Stone.

2 spells have been added so far:

  • Time Lock: Freeze the target in time for a long time (long enough to call it permanent)
  • Free Time: A spell that unfreezes your target so they can enjoy normal life again

I do want to add at least 6 more spells.

If college and a part-time job let me, I'd like to be done by the end of the month.

I did borrow the script for the original time lock method from Skyrim's Steelfeathers Lost Grimoire and made a few tweaks... for some reason I kept the name

Now I will warn you about some errors

  • Sometimes when you use time lock spells you end up walking among npcs and can't do anything with them, not even free them

Solution: Use console commands and disable/enable them again (removing the effects of the spell) or resurrect them, and there's a chance you can find their unseen real bodies somewhere so you can cast time free spells (hopefully that will fix this)

  • Sometimes the target is not affected by time lock

Solution: Just wait until they complete the quest/talk, it seems certain npcs have important scripted dialogue or actions and they become immune until it ends, like at the beginning of the game when the whiterun guard told jarl what he said about dragons.

SPELLS LOCATION

Some idiot tried to burn the books in Riverwood's forge... although the blacksmith has mentioned that his forge starts burning slower than normal, but normal flames will not burn the magic books.

QIPYA (the question I predicted you would ask)

Q) What is the missing picture?

A) It's a bit hard to take a picture that points out how the NPCs were captured in time

Q) Why is there no video? No video, I won't download it!

A) Well, I decided to upload this mod after just 4 hours of sleep, and it's currently 12:30 the second night! Maybe you could nicely upload one to me?

Q) When will the next spell come out?

A) IDK let me get some much needed sleep and then I can tell you

currently 2 spells have been added:

  • Time Lock: Freezes a target in time for a very long time(long enough to call it forever)
  • Time Free: A spell to unfreeze your target to let them enjoy normal life again

I do have at least another 6 spells to add.

If university and part time work will let me, I will hopefully finish before the end of the month.

Now I will warn you of a couple bugs

  • sometimes when you use the time lock spell you will end up walking through the npc and be able to do nothing to them not even free them

SOLUTION: use console commands and either disable/enable them again (removing the affects of the spell) or resurrect them, and there is a possible chance that you can find their invisible real body somewhere so you can cast the time free spell at it (hoping to fix that)

  • sometimes the target is immune to time lock

SOLUTION: just wait until their are done doing/talking, it seems like when certain npcs have important scripted conversations or actions they will become immune until it is over like when the whiterun guard tells the jarl about the dragon in the beginning of the game.

Some idiot tried to burn these books in a forge in Riverwood... pfft idiot, magic books don't burn by ordinary fire, though the blacksmith has mentioned that his forge started to burn hotter slower than normal.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
