describe
Stormcloak Rebellion Refine is a stand-alone, rustic and abominable cute NPC appearance pack that is a 4E "Stormcloak Rebellion" main player set that follows my personal preferences while still staying true to the vanilla game and lore. This is an ongoing project that will hopefully cover every NPC in Skyrim by the end of the year. The Stormcloak Rebellion covers Hadvar, Ralof, Imperial Leadership, Stormcloaks, and Talmor. Leveled NPCs and secondary characters have not been touched yet, but may be included in future updates. In the meantime, please consider checking out Windsong's immersive character overhaul, his overall visual design helped inspire this mod as well as the direction of Skyrim modding.
Some changes to the unofficial Skyrim Special Edition patch (AI packages and other bug fixes) and cutting room floor (unused base game inventory items) have been forwarded for your convenience. However, in most cases, any mod used to edit Actor records will require a compatibility patch.
change
The full list of NPCs modified from this mod will be coming soon...
There are no added add-ons or "major" changes to this release. Maybe in the future, I just do it for myself for a day.
Knowledge
Some changes were made to better reflect the characters' lore and backstories. Characters must retain their approximate age when updating their appearance. War paint and a sharper look have been given to the Ordinance commanders. Most of the Civil War leaders looked tired, with blue under-eye socket coloration suggesting sleep deprivation. The Royals are cleaner and cleaner, while the Stormcloaks are more savage and have wilder hair. Characters that otherwise use the default racial template will get a more unique appearance. The Thalmor leaders have been reworked to give a more distinct and "regal" appearance, they are well kept, and Elenwen is super QT.
An add-on extension is also available to further integrate more mods into the game, such as Creation Club Content or Beyond Skyrim. Follow the mod and my profile on to stay up to date with the project.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
