About this mod Machine translation

Holding down a button, shaking your hand, and releasing lets you drop your equipped weapon into VR. All six melee weapon types are supported. Supports weapons added by vanilla and mod. Comes with MCM to configure every setting.

describe

This mod is a SKSE addon that allows you to throw well-equipped weapons.

It has no throwable weapons of its own. It makes any vanilla or mod-added melee weapon throwable. Even bind weapons!

feature:

You hold the trigger, wave your hand, release your hand to throw. You can change the hold button in MCM. Default is trigger.

All 6 melee weapons can be thrown. You can choose which one in MCM.

Bound weapons are throwable. You certainly can't pick those things up off the ground.

You can pick up your thrown weapons from the ground and they will be transferred to your inventory. If you want to automatically equip a thrown weapon when you pick it up and your hands are empty, there is an optional "Auto-Equip Pickup" setting in the MCM (remember, left and right are taken into account).

If you want to automatically equip the same weapon after throwing it (if you have more weapons), use the reequip option in MCM.

When you hit an NPC with a thrown weapon, you may find it in their inventory when looking at them, and they can also use that weapon in combat before dying.

Comes with a punch. Knock on the door and throw away the NPC. Configurable in MCM.

The speed of your throw is important. It changes the velocity and impact of the thrown weapon's projectile on the victim.

Damage is calculated based on weapon base damage * damage multiplier in MCM for each weapon type.

Weapon enchantment is applied to the victim. Support FEC.

Supports VRIK, meaning if you pick something up from the holster and throw it away, you can pick up another thing from the holster and throw it away. Of course new gestures are also supported.

Locational Damage VR supports this mod in its latest update. You will be able to headshot NPCs by throwing weapons.

Unique weapons, Quest weapons, player-made enchanted or upgraded weapons cannot be thrown. This way you don't lose them.

The MCM option keeps the last item in the inventory.

MCM option to choose whether rare weapon materials (Ebony, Dragonbone, Daedric, Glass, Elven, Stalhrim) should be thrown away.

Important: Do not change the strength of this mod. Assets are loaded from the skse plugin via skid. Any changes to them will result in breaking the mod.

How do I aim better?

You have to practice. I recommend standing in front of the sign and trying different throws. You can throw vertically or horizontally from up or down, left or right...there are so many different throwing techniques.

This mod has no perk tree or auto-aim to help you throw better. The only way to do that is with training games. Every time I test the mod, I practice throwing the dagger at lantern posts and inn signs for a few minutes, and now I can land headshots with ease.

configuration

This mod comes with an MCM to configure settings. Let's take a look at the settings and what they do:

generally:

Weapon throwing can be enabled or disabled under "Allow Throws" in the "General" section.

You can enable or disable rare material types so they don't get thrown under "Materials" (Ebony, Dragonbone, Daedric, Stalhrim, Glass, Elf).

You can change the "Hold" button from "Triggered" to something else. The hold button is the button used to throw the weapon. You hold down the button, wave your hand, and then release the button to throw.

Here you can change the minimum speed required for the throw. The default value is suitable for most situations. Note that if you change this setting, you may need to adjust the Speed Multiplier in the Settings page, as the speed takes into account your throwing s …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
