Whiterun's Crossing Fortress
An ancient castle has been crafted over the years to control access to the crossroads west of Whiterun Hold. It's located in an open area that allows for scouting across the open tundra, and features a small guard room that can house guards and supplies.
North Gate of Forcas Fortress
Constructed during the Troubles within the Scope and the Birth of the Forsaken. A wooden gate and lookout post monitor the hill to stop any untoward happenings and to keep a check on passing merchants.
Rift Valley Pass
Built many years ago to defend the pass, it features large towers and felled trees to maximize visibility. Guardsmen took it home in an apparently abandoned shed nearby.
SunGuard Pass
An ancient building built many years ago to control one of the routes to the Reach. After a sworn raid took control of Fort Sunguard and overwhelmed the guards from above, he remained in the ruins.
Remaining remnants of the Refugees (except vanilla assets)
During the refugee crisis brought about by Morrowwind following the eruption of Red Mountain, the High King issued an edict to control the incoming tribes and place them in a camp on the borders of Windhelm Fortress to enable the fortress to prepare for the incoming demand for resources. Many Dunmer perished in the harsh conditions and cold winters, and the camp soon fell into disrepair and was abandoned. This area is still used by refugees who have not found a home in Skyrim.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
