Brynjolf will no longer automatically contact you in Riften. Unless you've actually done some dirty work, you're not considered a potential recruit to the Thieves Guild. As you progress along the Thieves Guild's quest, this mod also adds additional requirements to keep the story moving at a steady pace.
Includes changes and features for "Unusual Gems for Sale" and "Improved Shadow Marking".
PLUS...now you can buy the real Falmer Blood Elixir! Experience for yourself all the wonders of this powerful potion!
feature
Brynjolf will no longer contact you in Riften if you are not a thief, and the Thiefs Guild questline will not start until the player meets the necessary conditions (stolen items, found pockets, and sneaky skills). These requirements can be customized using MCM options.
Additional requirements can be set that will delay the quests "Dampened Spirits" and "Scundrel's Folly". You can choose to set any combination of stealth, pickpocket, or lockpicking skill level requirements, or just set a certain number of Fallout missions that must be completed.
Customize how many radiation missions each city requires before receiving special missions for that city.
Change the amount of gold required to complete the Bedlam job.
Allows characters who are not members of the Thieves Guild to sell anomalous gems to Lysard.
You can now purchase Falmer Blood Elixir from Brynjolf before starting the Thieves Guild quest.
All dialogue and responses are fully expressed.
Shadow markers have been added to player-owned houses and will automatically adjust to reflect the player's current status in the guild and the house's ownership status.
The placement of existing shadow markers has been improved, and new markers have been added where they were missing.
Includes FISS support, allowing you to save settings as custom presets.

Additional Information
During the Main Quest: During the main quest, there is a place to go to Riften and talk to Brynjolf. However, with this mod, the main quest dialogue option with Brynjolf will not be activated unless you meet the thief's requirements. There is another route to this quest, though... ask Riften; someone has the information for you. (If you need a more direct answer, see the bottom of the readme). This is actually an alternative option available in the vanilla game and I haven't changed it.
Mission Requirements: In order to trigger the start of the "Thieves Guild" mission, the player must have stolen items, picked up pockets and have certain stealth skills. If not, then Brynjolf will not approach you and the dialogue option to start the quest will not be shown. All three requirements must be met; however, you can fully customize these requirements using …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
