About this mod Machine translation

A small player home located in the Reach, east of Markarth. This is my first player home and there may be issues so please forgive any issues you encounter. If anyone wants to contact me, I'd be happy to resolve the issue. I think this version is solid, but I don't have testers yet. I know there aren't any conflicts, but I'm new to this, so please let me know if there are any issues. Everything is vanilla assets minus the single texture.

Currently, you can visit the house immediately. I haven't decided yet if I want to attach the mission. stay tuned!

As for the detailed instructions you get with this mod:

-There are several safe containers and a bookshelf in the house

-bed

-Alchemy table

-Armored workbench

-anvil

-Cooking spit

  • Once you gain access to the map, it includes a fast travel marker, making it easy to start since the marker is already unlocked from the start.

Markarth is where I personally started my Skyrim story, and I thought it would be perfect to build a house in the Reach since there are so few of them!

I value simplicity very much over those incredibly complex houses, and I don't want to leave Skyrim. If you need more, you can use Hearthfire or buy a house. This is perfect for simple playstyles and/or beginner households, and don't expect overflowing containers of ingredients or things that come in the form of freebies. This is by design. I do plan on decorating the interior more since there's plenty of space to work with, but again, I think simplicity is probably the best option. This is not the ultimate residence of Dragon Castle, just a long-lost and forgotten home.

Current issues I'm aware of (1/17/20):

-Book Typo (Corrected, but I don't think it deserves a separate new edition.)

-Cell Teleport troubles (it seems you'll often end up in the wrong direction, or sometimes appear in the slightly wrong location, and followers may force you back into the house)

I'll actively work on improving things where possible, thank you for your feedback! This is after about 12 hours of human play, so any kind of constructive criticism/bug reports would be appreciated! Thanks for trying my little mod.

Markarth is where I personally began my Skyrim tale and I thought it fitting to make a house in the Reach, where there aren't many houses, to begin with!

Simplicity is something I value over houses of extreme complexity, and I didn't want to take the journey out of Skyrim. Should you need more, you can use Hearthfire or purchase a hold house. This is very much geared towards a simple playstyle and/or a beginner home, and do not expect overflowing containers of ingredients or really much in the way of freebies. This was done by design. I do plan on decorating the interior more, as there is plenty of space to work with, but again, I think simple can be the best. This is not meant to be the ultimate home for the Dragonborn, just a forgotten home from a long-gone individual.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
