This is an official port of The Drunkards Drinks from original Skyrim to SSE, with full permission from the original author. Many thanks for allowing me to make this switch. All credits go to FatalisticZero for design and implementation. The original mod can be found here:

-------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------.esp has been converted to 44 format together with CK. No cleaning required. I also ran the azzendix water repair script and it cleaned up a few records. There will be no water seams in the area. Meshes and textures have been converted using the latest version of NifOptimizer to comply with SSE. I went to all the places where the potions were and all of them appeared before me. I tested the mod and took quite a few screenshots to prove that the mod works properly. This is a direct conversion from Oldrim and provided as-is. FatalisticZero granted me full permission to convert and modify the original files.

Important information 1!!

Keep in mind that other mods may cause potions to not appear. I can confirm that all of Arthmoor's town expansion modes work fine. No issues found. I don't use JK's Skyrim, so I can't confirm compatibility with this mod. I don't think there would be a problem since it's just a potion bottle in a specific location. I highly doubt that major renovations in most towns will affect their location.

Important information 2!!

When you drink the potion for the first time, you'll see the effect appear in the upper right corner. Make sure to wear it down first, then open your inventory again and confirm that the permanent effect has been applied. I'll reiterate this in FatalisticZero's original description.

Important information 3!!

Remember, these are potions, not stationary objects, so they can be knocked around like any other potion. NPCs and your companions may encounter potions and knock them out. Before submitting a post, be sure to look around the drink area if this happens. The best thing is to make fans wait and find it themselves without letting them get into it first. I found all the potions and my companion actually ran into two of them as they ran up to me from wherever they were. Otherwise other drinks are not a matter of entourage or placement.

If you like Treasure Hunting mods, then you'll really like my port of Oldrim which complements this nicely:

I recommend using LOOT to sort this for you. In my load order I'm much higher up, but LOOT may adjust this value. Otherwise, if you have been modifying for a while, use logical placement for optimization.

Here is the description from the Oldrim page:

-------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- ----------

This mod adds 27 new magically infused alcoholic beverages. These drinks are distributed throughout Skyrim's towns and taverns. When consumed, each drink rewards the player with a permanent "positive effect". For example hearty hops - +10 health. In the player's inventory, all drinks are located under the "Food" tab.

This mod is designed to provide some challenge and entertainment, so players have to use their minds to find the magical drink. A book called "The Drunkards Book" can be found at The Sleeping Giant Inn in Riverwood. The book contains various rhyming/poetry riddles and clues about the location of the drinks.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
