About this mod Machine translation
Basic fix for draw and sheath animation when sword is on player's back.
What's this:
This "mod" fixes the draw animation and sheath animation of swords in first person and on horseback when you hold the sword against your back. Now it will play the 2-hand animation over the original one-hand animation. Please note that the first person animation has no sound! While riding, sounds will appear. This was just a small workaround until someone made a mod that increased the dose 100x. This is also the first "mod" I've uploaded, so if you have any questions please let me know.
Install:
Download the required merged or separate optional files and install using (NMM, Mod Organizer, manual or other).
NOTE: Mod Organizer will give the error "Top Game Data". Just click on the file name, then right click on the data and set as directory.
For manual, basically drag and drop the files into the Skyrim SE data folder. The path is provided below, just in case.
Place the first person file in the following location:
LOCAL DRIVE PATH\Skyrim Special Edition\data\meshes\actors\character\_1stperson\animations
Place the horse's files in:
LOCAL DRIVE PATH\Skyrim Special Edition\data\meshes\actors\character\animations\horse_rider\patch
uninstall:
Remove/remove mod from mod manager.
For manual deletion of the files (1hm_equip.hkx, 1hm_unequip.hkx, mc_1hm_equip.hkx, mc_1hm_unequip.hkx) in the path locations marked above.
compatibility:
This mod will override the animation used by vanilla. This means it should be 100% compatible with everything!
Recommended:
The XP32 Max Skeleton Special Expansion - XPMSSE - will allow you to carry a sword on your back.
Immersive Animation - Very nice third person animation will be added.
credit:
Bethesda for original 2 Handed animation in first person and on horseback.
Plus the people who did this on original Skyrim: TixIssence and zGRD.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
