Bush Gear v1.0
Disclaimer: Bush Gear is male-only and slightly (very) OP, especially the magic version. Better for advanced characters at higher levels of difficulty.
Armor Mix | Category: - Light Armor
Tsun's Armor + Thieve's Guild Pants
Nightingale Gloves + Wolf Gloves
Blades Boots + Orc Boots
Monk's Hood
arms:
Bush Knife, re-released
HD Lumberjack Ax (improved textures, added materials)
describe:
Every item can be crafted at The Forge, using Steel material types and techniques. They can also be upgraded to special magical versions of The Forge if you have the right ingredients. These enchantments can also be learned on the enchantment table, just like normal enchantments, and you can see their exact behavior. This also includes bush knives. All items are traceable.
The texture is based on a Vanilla HD texture that I modified. Mainly dark steel metal, brass accents and dark leather.
Disclaimer:
Armor and Bush Knife are slightly higher level than Daedric level (END GAME), but they are classified as steel so you can build them early in the game. If this ruins your gaming experience, then this mod isn't for you, or you may want to download it later in the game.
Sorry, that's the way I like it. I beat the game a few years ago and now I relax for fun rather than some epic challenge.
motivation:
I like Tsun's armor, but I also like the pants. I wanted to build a woodcutter/savage character who used stealth and brute strength. This is what I came up with for his armor. This is "lightly armored" that provides better stealth and speed, but when things get real, allows for maximum flexibility for swinging large two-handed weapons. Maybe one day I'll make him a custom sword, but for now I'm using BillyRo's Sword of Wonder.
I included BillyRo Helper with my Bush Knife, mainly to reduce the ESP, but also because I wanted to rebalance it a bit and it fit a Forester Hero theme. This version of Bush Knife does not include Valdr's Dagger replacement.
Future plans:
I hope to replace the lumberjack ax with a more Nordic style ax in the future; if I do, I may add it to this mod. It will do double duty as a chopping tool and weapon, so I'll increase its damage. Now I remade the vanilla HD texture, added a material map, and applied a cube map to make it comparable to the other weapons. I may also end up creating his own custom greatsword for him, possibly a CBBE SSE female version.
help Wanted!
My screenshots are not very good! I don't know how to do all the fancy poses and post-processing that people usually apply to these things. If you're a screenshot master, upload some footage! Thanks!
Also, if you encounter a bug, please report it, but I didn't think much of it.
Known issues:
Some stock models have an oddly positioned hood missing its hood. I want to figure this out. Also, the lower legs of the main armor have some horrible cuts, but this is hidden by the boots. If I figure out building my own custom NIF, I'll work around it.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
