Improved default tank water in Skyrim (compatible with other water mods)
1776/5000Why this is better
It utilizes a normal map layering system to layer 3 normal maps on top of each other
Wave Diagram - Represents waves due to wind.
Wave refraction diagram - represents the deformation in waves coming from rocks and sides.
Wind Diagram - Represents the small water disturbances caused by wind crossing water

resolution
The mod's resolutions range from 4K to 1K, but not all maps require maximum quality, so each map has a different resolution - the name relates to the size of the maximum resolution normal map.
compatibility
This mod only edits the form of static water, so it will only override those items, meaning you can (and are advised to) run it with your current water mod.
performance
As with almost any mod, you want good performance - however, I've optimized the size of these textures so this mod shouldn't be a performance issue.
Loading order
Make sure to put the other water components above the load order in the order of my other water components
For modders
Feel free to use this mod in your mods, just make sure you depend on this mod (you know what I mean)
A note to those who use my other mods
My mod uses 5+ normal maps - my mods use different combinations of these normal maps (usually around 2), the normals in the file you download are necessary for the mod to work properly - so it doesn't matter if the files overlap as they are exactly the same
ESL has ESP tagged so it does not increase the ESP limit
FAQ
Will I turn this into a big mod: Yes, once I finish all the mods.
Yes, it looks like ice in the screenshots, but once you see it in game, it's not that extreme——————————————————————————————————————————

Compatibility
This mod only edits the forms for the static water therefore, it will only overwrite these items meaning you can (and recommended) to run this alongside your current water mod.
Performance
With almost all mod you will expect to take a performance hit - however, I have optimised the size of these textures so performance shouldn't be an issue with this mod.
Load order
Make sure to put above any other water mods in the load order in terms of my other water mods it doesn't really matter
For modders
Feel free to use this mod in your mods just make sure that you make this mod a dependency (You know what I mean)
Notes for those using my other mods
My mod uses a set of 5+ normal maps - my mods use different combinations of these (about 2 usually) the normals in the files you download are the ones required for that mod to work - so it doesn't matter if these files overlap because they are exactly the same
ESL flagged ESP so will not contribute to ESP limit
FAQ
Will I make this into one big mod: Yes once I have finished making all of the mods.
Yes it looks like ice in screenshots but it is less extreme once you see it in-game
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
