About this mod Machine translation
Clean up some issues that could cause tasks to become unavailable.
There are many quests in the game that, if completed in certain orders, will result in another quest or item becoming permanently unavailable. This mod attempts to remove or fix these locks. Fixes include:
Diplomatic Immunity and the Search for Thalmor Assassins: After learning about the former Esbern, some Thalmor will be captured by Malborn. Malbon was most likely killed in the ensuing battle, which would have permanently prevented the battle from starting. With this mod, Malborn, along with Brelas and Etienne, can only be killed by the player, making it easier to start the Thalmor Assassin quest.
Moonlight Discomfort:: There is a Talor Shrine in the Bloated Man Grotto, where a unique weapon, Bora's Oathblade, can be found. If you start Moonlight Life and Death Encounter before entering the Grotto, over the course of the quest, if you complete support for Hircine, the shrine and weapon will be deleted; if you complete support for Sinding, the shrine and weapon will be permanently deleted. With this mod, the Oathblade can be found in the hunter J'Kier, who dies shortly after you arrive. It's not unreasonable to assume he'll catch it.
Delayed Burial and With Friends Like This...: Entering the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary for the first time, whether during the latter or during the destruction of the Dark Brotherhood, the previous mission will not be available if it has not been started, and will fail if it has been completed but not yet completed. This mod requires Delayed Burial to be completed before the shack scene can begin (if Delayed Burial has not been started due to Innocence disappearing, you will receive an anonymous reminder to check the road between Dawnstar and Whiterun).
Mourning Never Comes, Blood on Ice: Blood on Ice requires Tova Shatter-Shield to be alive to begin. However, while doing the Never Mourning mission, it is recommended that you kill Nilsine Shattered Shield, which will cause Tova to commit suicide. Since Tova's role in Blood on Ice is minimal and completely dispensable, I removed the requirement for her to be alive.
Mourning Forever: Lost Forever requires you to travel through Raldbthar, where Alain Dufont lives, which means you'll probably kill him if you go there before starting Mourning Forever. If he dies, the optional objective of killing Nilsine becomes unfulfillable, preventing you from obtaining Muiri's ring and her as a marriage candidate. This mod makes Alain Dufont not appear until you reach the appropriate stage where Mourning Never Comes.
Rare Gifts (Siddgeir) and Build Your Own House (Falkreath): Siddgeir usually requires you to bring him a bottle of Black-Briar Mead before starting the Thane quest. However, if you progressed far enough to receive his "Build Your Own Home" letter, this letter will be skipped. This mod removes the "build your own house" letters entirely so it doesn't happen. As far as I know, they only exist to give people who install HearthFires in-game information on how to get new houses, so they're not necessary for future runs.
The Forgemasters Fingers and Be BloodKin: If you complete a quest that causes you to befriend an orc, you will lose access to The Forgemasters Fingers. Now, no matter what, they will send it to you in a personal way, with a letter explaining why.
Kill the Bandit Leader (Annekke) and Kill the Bandit Leader (Brunwulf): These two quest instances come from the same target pool, which means they can select the same target. If this happens, the second version you try to launch will be permanently unavailable. This is due to the fact that quests cannot select cleared dungeons as targets. This mod allows this quest to choose which location to clear and adds code to provide a new boss if this happens, although it does not reset the dungeon. (Note that this is very rare and can only happen by chance, so this fix is untested. It seems reasonable enough in theory).

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
