Symmetrical Leather Armor - Alternative

This mod replaces the female leather armor mesh with an improved one with symmetrical pauldrons. It's a simple mesh replacement mod, compatible with everything, including texture replacers. There is no esp file.

General information

Ever since I started playing Skyrim, I have both loved and hated leather armor. I really like the general form and style, but the pauldrons keep bugging me. My symmetrical love butt just can't handle that pointy thing on my left shoulder. So I made this mod.

This mod replaces the female leather armor mesh with a new one with symmetrical pauldrons, i.e. even from the right shoulder. It uses UNP bodies, but you can also use it with vanilla bodies. It's that simple.

There are versions: one with underwear (for those who use body underwear) and one without (for those who use naked bodies). If you use vanilla body, use the underwear version.

NOTE: This mod only replaces the FEMALE mesh. Male mesh and ground objects (those shown in the inventory) will remain unchanged.

This means that all male characters and NPCs will still have the asymmetrical armor mesh, as well as the armor shown in your inventory.

If you're playing as a female character, you're going to have to suspend your disbelief that the spiky substance that appears on the armor in your inventory will "disappear" when it comes to gear.

compatibility

This mod is compatible with everything that doesn't change the female leather armor mesh, so it's compatible with basic everything.

It is compatible with every texture replacement.

It can also change armor, compression mechanics, NPCS,...

Whatever you prefer, this mod can be installed and uninstalled. It won't break your game.

Q＆A

• Would you make a male version of this?

Won't. Male meshes are harder to change than female meshes because I only play female characters so I have no interest in having good looking male characters :)

• Can you modify a ground object?

Most likely not. Again, the ground object mesh is harder to work with than the female mesh, and I'm very new to modeling, so I'm not at a level where I can do more advanced stuff yet.

• Would you make this armor (like CBBE) for [insert different body replacer here]?

Most likely not. I personally use UNP body (underwear) and I am very satisfied. Although if there is a huge demand I will consider it.

• Can I use your models in my own mods?

Please ask my permission first and I will definitely give it to you :)

-What texture did you use for the armor in the screenshot?

I used textures from the Oldrim mod "aMidianBorn Book of Silence".
