About this mod Machine translation
A simple compatibility patch to continue using USSEP overridden survival mode keywords/effects without reverting USSEP changes.
Survival Mode - The USSEP Compatibility Patch is an .esl-tagged .esp file (or .espFE) created in SSEEdit after filtering Survival Mode creation and unofficial Skyrim Special Edition patches to check for conflicts; certain records have been overwritten to restore Survival Mode functionality and to maintain USSEP fixes by forwarding both. In other words, this patch merges Survival Mode and USSEP changes into certain records; raw beef, pheasant roast, mammoth steak, and more restore hunger and benefit from USSEP fixes.
Starting with version 1.1, this patch explicitly requires USSEP as the master; after that it can be anywhere in your load order. It now forwards certain USSEP fixes to records introduced with the vanilla counterpart in Survival Mode, but does not change the mechanics of Survival Mode.
There may be other mods that achieve this, but they tend to include other features that can change the way Survival Mode works to some degree. This mod is for users who like survival mode but don't want it to conflict with USSEP.
Maybe one day I'll expand the functionality of this mod to address any other survival mode related bugs, but for now I'm just providing it as is. This was a test to see if I could design a simple compatibility patch without too much fuss, and I'm happy enough with the results that I've incorporated it into my load order and thought I'd share it with anyone not interested in making their own compatibility patch.

The Survival Mode - USSEP Compatibility Patch is an.esl-flagged.esp file (or.espFE) created in SSEEdit after having filtered the Survival Mode Creation and the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch to check for conflicts; certain records have been overwritten to reinstate Survival Mode's features and maintain USSEP fixes by forwarding both. In other words, this patch merges Survival Mode's and USSEP's changes to certain records; rejoice as raw beef, pheasant roasts, mammoth steaks, and more restore Hunger and benefit from USSEP's fixes.
As of Version 1.1, this patch explicitly requires USSEP as a master; it can go anywhere in your load order after that. It now forwards certain USSEP fixes to records introduced in Survival Mode with vanilla counterparts, but doesn't alter Survival Mode's mechanics beyond that.
There are likely other mods that accomplish this, but they tend to include other features that change how Survival Mode works to some degree. This mod is for users who like Survival Mode as-is but don't want it to conflict with USSEP.
Perhaps one day I'll expand on this mod's features to address any other Survival-Mode-related bugs, but for now I'm just offering it as it is. This was a test to see if I could design a simple compatibility patch without minimal fuss, and I'm satisfied enough with the result that I've incorporated it into my load order and thought I'd share it with anyone who isn't interested in making their own compatibility patch.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
