by TwinCrows·v1.01·Updated 2020-03-06

Add a simple, gamified "supply and demand" economics system to the game, and duplicate items that players buy will become more expensive, while duplicate items they sell will be worth less. This also affects theft, where stolen goods become more expensive. This can cover much of the game with keywords.

supply and demand

Supply and demand welcome! This mod adds a gamified economic system based on buying and selling quantities.

The items you buy will become more expensive, and the items you sell will become less valuable.

Each item you buy or sell changes the market price of the same item by 2%. Buy ten less health potions and they will become 20% more expensive. Sell 50 iron daggers and their price will drop by 100%.

This applies to all projects of the same basic type. If you train or enchant a weapon, it is treated as a separate base item and has its own price. This increases the incentive to temper or enchant common equipment before selling it.

But most importantly, it makes the economy more difficult. You will feel this when you buy or sell large amounts of items because their prices are disadvantageous to the player. Ingredients, soul gems, potions, arrows, and food are certain item types that become more expensive as you buy and consume them.

Septim by Septim, you will feel the economy slowly moving towards you as the goods you want to sell become more in supply and the goods you need become more in demand.

SUPPLY AND DEMAND

Welcome to Supply and Demand! This mod adds a game-ified economy system based on quantity bought or sold.

Items you buy will become more expensive, and items you sell become less valuable.

Each item you buy or sell will change the market price of that same item by 2%. Buy ten lesser health potions and they will become 20% more expensive. Sell 50 iron daggers and their price will drop by 100%.

This applies to all items of the same base type. If you temper a weapon or enchant it, that will count as a separate base item and have its own price. This adds an incentive to temper or enchant common equipment before selling.

But most of all, it makes the economy more difficult. You'll feel this especially if you buy and sell large quantities of items, as their prices will become less advantageous to the player. Ingredients, soul gems, potions, arrows, and food are some of the item types that will become more expensive as you buy and consume them.

You'll feel like the economy is slowly closing in on you, Septim by Septim, as the items you like to sell become more insupply, and the items you need become more in demand.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
