About this mod Machine translation
Use huge weapons to crush your enemies like a giant!
describe:
"So, after a long night of drinking in Liffin's tavern, this Mr. Brynjolf came to offer me some fake blood potions for only 30 bucks each!"
Naturally, I spent all the money I earned in the past two months in the mines, bought 10 yuan, and now I am the strongest northerner in the world! Not to mention I grew back that missing limb.
Ah. But now my weapons break like twigs when I swing them, so I have to make some new ones that are bigger and worse than others (the material isn't that great though, but I have to smell my dad's old wooden axe when I'm done with the horseshoes), and they're also heavy, but since I'm super strong now (or drunk), I don't even feel the weight. "
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Basically, a weapons pack that contains 8 weapons, and as the name suggests (I'm borrowing some Dark Souls terminology here), these weapons are either long, big, heavy, and not proportionally large enough that basically no average person can realistically wield, but hey, if those potato heads from Oblivion can spin around a "warhammer" the size of a kid, so can you!
Are they intellectually friendly?
-Well, there is no dwarf quantum space cannon in the mod, so that must be the case.
Are they realistic?
-Depends on how much bench pressure you have.
Here is a small video presentation I made:
arms:
In no particular order, these are:
Super Iron Sword-1958 Three persons/face
Super iron ax-3038 tricycle/face
Super Iron Mold-2490 Tris/Faces
Super Steel Sword-7186 Tris/Faces
Super steel ax-7026 tricycle/face
Super steel Mace-7676 Tris/Faces
+2 "extra" weapons:
Super iron pickaxe-2118 tricycle/face
Akaviri Ultra Saber-4746 Tris/Faces
The weapons themselves have a specific "theme", with iron weapons being scratched, rusted, and abused beyond any reason, while steel weapons have certain patterns and decorations but still look like they've been used regularly. (Unfortunately, nothing other than human heads can be mined!)
Generally speaking, the DPS of these weapons is one level higher than their material level, for example, the "Ultra Iron Sword" does the same damage as the "Steel Greatsword", while the "Ultra High Steel Sword" does the same damage as the "Dwarf Greatsword", etc. (although the numbers are not accurate).
However, there are a few things to consider:
Professionals and committees:
+higher damage
-Slow attack speed
+Longer distance
-Extremely heavy
+Higher dislocation-opportunities
How to get:
In any forge, as long as you have the necessary materials and perks, you can of course temper and enchant them as well. I kept the types of materials needed low, but the quantities required high.
Compatibility and other issues:
Since the mod doesn't change anything but only adds weapons to your game, it should be fully compatible with almost any other mod or combination of mods out there. You can place it anywhere in the loading order and it should work fine. The crafting recipe is based on the vanilla Skyrim example, so in theory it should work with any welfare overhaul mod to change factories.
Some of them have a little problem with the cut, because the gory things are so big/long/too big that they can sometimes scratch the ground, or stab you in the butt or something. Hope it's no big deal.
other:
By default the mod comes with 2k textures, there is a 4k option for those with PCs that can handle this. Additionally, I have provided "unoptimized" Nifs for anyone wanting to play them or try to port this mod to the classic version.
(Please note, for anyone trying to port this to the classic version: you can't just resave the .esp in the old CK, it will most likely cause issues & crashes down the road, and I'm afraid you'll have to rebuild this module from scratch.)
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
