About this mod Machine translation

It's a simple yet refined gamer's home console, with plenty of hand-placed clutter and clever nooks, elegantly perched in the picturesque Rift Valley.

Welcome to my friend Storm's Rest Cottage. Nestled on the edge of the Rift Valley northeast of Ivarstead, this simple yet exquisite little house was built around the canonical house of my own character, a novel I have been writing. A crafty lightening mage (or anyone else for that matter) will have all the essentials: a stock, a crafting table, and a whetstone to craft all your adventuring gear, because in this house, we believe in practicality! The Enchanting Table, Alchemy Laboratory, and Mage Enchanting are also available for all your magic-making needs. Upstairs there's a queen bed for you and another queen bed (my apologies to those of you adopting kids, this house is only for two adults!), as well as four floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and plenty of custom-placed items to remind you of all the fun tasks you've probably done a thousand times before. It may not have the fancy bells and whistles of custom display cases for Elder Scrolls and Daedric artifacts, but if you're looking there are plenty of other great house mods out there that all come with similar goodies. Like I said, it's simple yet sophisticated, functional yet beautiful, and reflects the character who inspired it: Lylenna Rostian, from High Rock, Bards and witches, of course; Dovahkiin. My fantasy novel may or may not throw in a few Easter eggs, as well as a personal Easter egg that doesn't require editing on my part to implement.

Welcome to Storm's Rest Cottage, my friend. Perched on the edge of the Rift just northeast of Ivarstead, this simple yet refined small house was built around my own character's canon house in the ongoing fanfiction that I have been writing. It has all the necessities that a crafty lightening mage (or anyone else, for that matter) would ever need: an anvil, workbench, and grindstone for making all of your adventuring gear, because in this house, we believe in practicality! An enchanting table, alchemy lab, and staff enchanter are also included for all of your magic-making needs. Upstairs has one large bed, for you and one other (my apologies to those of you with adopted children, this house is meant for just two adults!) along with four floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and plenty of custom-placed items to remind you of all the fun quests you've probably already done a thousand times before. It may not have all the fancy bells and whistles like custom display cases for your elder scrolls and Daedric artifacts, but if you were looking for that there are plenty of other phenomenal house mods with all the good stuff like that. As I said, it is simple yet refined, practical yet beautiful, a reflection of the character who inspired it: Lylenna Rostian, of High Rock, bard and sorceress, and of course; Dovahkiin. There may or may not be a few little easter eggs thrown in from my fanfiction, along with one little personal easter egg that required no editing from me to achieve.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
