describe:
Skjoldur is an armored Ursa that can be found in the Angi camp south of Falkreath. You need to buy a 1000g bear from Skagsvar, just like you would buy any other.
Place:
Install:
- Download and install via NMM or Mod Organizer.
Recommended MODS:
- HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: Handy Horse - From my testing it has been fully compatible and I highly recommend it as it adds a lot of features to Skjoldur that I wish I had added myself.
Known issues:
- Swimming animation bug (I'm still trying to figure out how to disable swimming when installed on a bear.)
- Off-road vehicle installation animation. (I'm told this is not repairable.)
- Bear lying down animation. (Also not sure if it can be fixed. Want to have the bear do this animation through dialogue options.)
Future plans:
- Possibility to make bears behave as followers, can be installed via dialogue options.
- Trade options.
- Summon power.
- Press the hotkey while drawing the weapon to activate slide/bite attacks.
- More interactive in general.
I'm a beginner at adapting, any and all help is appreciated.

DESCRIPTION:
Skjoldur is an armored bear mount that can be found at Angi's Camp, south of Falkreath. You will need to purchase the bear from Skagsvar for 1000g, just like you would any other mount.

- Download and install via NMM or Mod Organizer.
RECOMMENDED MODS:
- HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: Convenient Horses - From my testing, it has been completely compatible and I highly recommend it because it adds a lot of features to Skjoldur that I would have liked to add myself.
KNOWN ISSUES:
- Bugged swimming animation (I'm still trying to figure out how to disable swimming while mounted on the bear.)
- Buggy mounting animation. (I'm told that it's not fixable.)
- Bear lying down animations. (Also not sure if fixable. Would like to make the bear do this animation through a dialogue option though.)
FUTURE PLANS:
- Possibly make the bear behave as a follower, that can be mounted via dialogue option.
- Trade option.
- Summon Power.
- Pressing a hot key, while riding with weapons drawn, to activate a swipe/bite attack.
- More interactivity in general.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
