Dwarven Power Armor, a unique mechanical design, bulky heavy armor developed by the Dwemer and made from aether crystals.
Before the events of TES 5, the Dwarven Power Armor was just a legend, telling of how the powerful armor was lost over time, but a group of Talmor found the armor and planned to use it for the Academy of Winterhold as plans from Ancanor and Talmor. In the main mission of the Mage Academy, you will find his general inside Mzulft, where he and his guards and fortifications are, and you need to defeat them to loot the Power Armor. If you're already an Archmage, you can still find them there.
Generals using this set also wield the powerful Dwarf Aether Hammer and Dwarf Aether Shield. You can also loot both.
Because the power suit (and hammer) is heavy, the power suit was made to be used against very powerful enemies in dangerous battles, rather than to be used as regular armor, so you can barely run, and it's also slower while walking, you can't dial it in properly, it will be easily detected due to sound to you, and cannot restore stamina when used, but also has strong resistance and magic, resistance to breathing, increased melee strength, resistance to disease and poison, increased damage with bare hands, so it is tanker armor, but can also be used as an emergency resource in hard trials by lightly armored coal. As a result, everything is very fair and balanced and fits the lore and game mechanics very well.
Another bonus is that the general has the dwarf's aether shield, so you no longer have to choose between a crown and a staff, but now just between the last 2 of the aether forged ones.
Armor and weapons make new Dwarven mechanical sounds, but due to the limitations of the engine, a large portion of the sounds are attached to the Dwarf Aether Warhammer rather than to the Dwarven Power Armor, so if you just use the armor there will be a small amount of sound when moving (stepping), then with the hammer you will hear all the new sounds.
The armor is unnisex, available across all playable races, and is a unique piece with stats that correctly create a full set of armor, but you can still equip the armor below rings and amulets.
Dwarven power armor and warhammers (and aether shields, obviously) can be improved, and dwarven weapons and armor are included.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
