Spell Research-Arcanum Shoulder Patch

The latest patches for Spell Research and Arcanum, is the Spell Research patch summary that comes with LordOfDragons01.

This modpack is a script replacement for the Spell Research Patch by LordOfDragons01, assigning prototypes for the new spells in the Arcanum Illusion update. It ships with the original patched plugin - just re-import your spells to assign new archetypes after installation. Unlike the original patch set, I've exposed my archetype selections in the optional download section (meaning spoilers if you want them to remain a mystery during playthrough).

reformulated spell

Reformatted tomes are typically found in arcane tomes mixed with a simple spell tome and some ancillary ingredients, and cannot be crafted through Spell Research's system with ordinary ink and paper, even if you have learned the spell through legal means. This means that if you need another tome to teach adapted spells to believers using a framework like NFF, and also avoid the financial loss of a mass-produced adapted tome, you still need to revisit the drafter. However, you can research the redefined spells you know to learn more about the spell archetypes - for example, learning Sunspear will allow you to learn more about shock and sun-related spells.

Reformulated Spells

Reformulated tomes, which are normally crafted at the arcane escritoire from a mixture of simpler spells' tomes and a few secondary ingredients, cannot be crafted from common ink and paper via Spell Research's system, even if you've already learned the spell by legitimate means. This means you'll still need to revisit the escritoire should you need another tome to teach reformulated spells to your followers with a framework like NFF, and avoids the economic damage of mass-produced reformulated tomes. You can, however, perform research on the reformulated spells you know to learn more about spell archetypes - for example, studying Sunlight Spear will teach you more about spells associated with shock and the sun.
