About this mod Machine translation
This is a special edition conversion of the model replacers for foxes, making them look more like real foxes.
Thanks to triptherift for converting the model to special edition format, as well as the dog eye variant!
-----------------------
Skyrim's fox model always bothered me. There are a lot of great transformations out there, but the actual shape of the models always looks great, especially the faces.
This mod aims to solve this problem. I went in and edited the fox and snow fox models to make them look more like real foxes.
These edited models are compatible with any retexture mod, as long as the eye shape and position are not too different from vanilla. In my screenshots I'm using textures from the Bellyache Animals and Creatures pack.
I also added actual eye models for the fox. No more dead-looking texture on the eyes! The new eye model references the "EyeKhajiitOrangeNarrow" eye texture, so any texture replacer that edits that texture will also change the fox eye texture. Alternate canine eye variant reference werewolf eye texture.
In my screenshots, I used textures from Xenius High Quality Eyes. (The mod seems to have disappeared!)
Since this is just a model replacer, it should be compatible with anything using the default fox model.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
