Dead and gone to Sovngarde!

This is just a glorified mode of an SSE port, made by tes programmers for those who don't know how to do it.

Original mod:

Author: Programmer

Port: TABLAZ 415

PS: This port is made from the latest version of the MOD, 0.99 Patch A.

ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION OF MOD:

[2015] I no longer support Sovngarde's return. Please read the sticky comments for details.

Version 0.99: Patch A (final)

[2014] Over the past few days I've fixed a lot of bugs, some of which were game-breaking! Please read everything from this article to avoid complaining because you didn't read the instructions. The update process is just below the change log. Here is the change log:

  • Returned the old dead system (version 0.98) - this actually prevented many glitches and bugs such as:

-Remove effective effects from players

-lost player wink

-Unequipped weapons and armor

-Crashed while teleporting to sovngarde

-Other magic-based effects (such as perks) were removed

This also means that you have to die in combat to be teleported - which makes sense given the game's lore - only exalted heroes should go to Songard.

(2) When you visit Tamir as a ghost, you start in a semi-invisible state - a state that allows you to talk to people or interact with the environment, which is not supposed to happen. Plus, your character is still relatively unknown. Now you become invisible, just like you should.

  • Every time the toggle state is used, the variables in the menu "TotalLifetimeBounty" and "MaximumBounty" will get higher values. I imagine it would cause trouble if this number was too high over time. These values are now reset when you become invisible (they are set to zero instead of their original values before the mod).
  • If you are a ghost and use the spell to return to Thorvengard, the wanted status will not be reset: if you return to the Tamil guards, they will still come to you. This is now fixed.
  • To prevent a bug in older versions - the "basic bug" - where your character is still required after uninstalling the mod, I've included the uninstall functionality. Press "Scroll Lock" after you complete the mission and the mod will remove the necessary flags. After this, you will:

-Create a new save, exit Skyrim, delete mod files (manually or via mod manager), create a new, clean save without using mods. If you do this, you can delete the mod after a normal death. Optionally (and I recommend you do this), you may wish to use the save editor tool to remove any scripts or references that may still be present in the save. Make sure you delete the script so the mod will be uninstalled.

  • Even after being resurrected as a ghost or visiting Tamir (for the second time), people are still attacking you. I think it's fixed.
  • Small feature: The game now loads your autosave program (specifically: the file named "autosave1"). If there is no file, the save must be loaded manually.

besides.. That's it. This is the first patch since the last version. There is one thing I forgot to say: I

Edited some text in messages and tasks. If you find any errors or bugs I will try to fix them

It makes this mode bug-free (or very close to it). I will add new content as I update. This update is only to correct errors. Below, read about the update process.

  • Note: To use this module, you need the latest version of SkyRIM and the latest version of SKSE installed on the following website: {

Otherwise, the MOD will not work properly.

NOTE: Regarding loading order - keep the .esp in a lower order (at the bottom of the list).

*This mode is designed for characters who have completed the main quest, otherwise you will experience the "basic flaw" when you die - your Scorch will bend at the knees, and soon he will stand up. Only download after saving the MQ. This is a detail that I didn't pay attention to and it will be corrected in the next version.

*If the mod doesn't work properly after you've done the right thing, then it's possible that another mod is conflict …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
