Soul sound replacement for Skyrim, providing a more intense combat experience. Co-written by ryonAlice and me. from LE.
This mod contains over 200 audio files that will help establish a Souls-like atmosphere in Skyrim.
Assets are mainly from the Dark Souls series and Bloodborne.
ryonAlice collects all audio files from Reddit. If you have any questions about the assets used in this mod, in order to alleviate your concerns or clear the issue, you must contact ryonAlice for more details.

This is the LE version.
There are two main versions of this mod, with a Japanese (Japanese) translation available for both.
Regular version:
Usually just a simple replacement for some vanilla sounds, with a few extra sounds. Compatible with other audio modes if loaded afterwards.
ISC version:
To use this version, Immersive Sounds - Compendium is required. It is fully compatible with ISC and all ISC patches.
If overwriting is required during installation, just overwrite the ISC file.
Both versions include patches that enhance blood texture SE and weapon armor clothing and clutter fixes. If of no use, delete/uncheck them.
This mod extends vanilla sounds in many ways.
I. After installing this mod, you will get a whole new set of sounds while swinging daggers or hitting enemies with them. Considering the swing and clang of daggers using a one-handed sword in vanilla Skyrim, there's no doubt this is an improvement.
II. The swing and punch of vanilla weapons are replaced by bloody ones. Bows, crossbows and staff were not affected.
Weapon types are separated: battle axe, sword, hammer, dagger, battle axe, greatsword, war hammer, unarmed.
The swinging sound of warhammers and tomahawks is particularly different; the unique sound when hitting medicine with a waraxe/battleaxe/warhammer or fist.
Bind weapons also get new swing sounds. Different sounds for different weapons, that's pretty handy, isn't it?
III. Additional sounds for stealth attacks and critical hits.
New sounds when restoring a corpse and picking up a nirnroot.
Absorb the soul of a dragon and get rewards or kills and more with new music
There is much more waiting for you to discover.
Relative editing by the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch (aka USSEP) is integrated into this mod's addon, you don't need it as a requirement. They are mostly compatible with each other except for 2 weapon records regarding bound daggers.
Just load my plugin after USSEP. You can use SSEdit or zEdit to solve this problem.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
