Soulgem mod

Crush the soul gems you don't need and incorporate them into the ones you do! This mod adds "Soul Salts" as a malleable ingredient that can be used to disassemble and reassemble soul gems and fragments. Soul salt also has properties and can be used like other ingredients. There are even recipes for those pesky scraps you find everywhere.

Soul Salt - Soulgem Mod!

Ever wanted to turn those little soul gems into big gems? Yes me too, so I made this mod. The main feature of this mod is a new ingredient you craft with existing soul gems or shards: Soul Salts. Soul Salts can be used to create new Soul Gems, or you can use them to craft powerful potions. You need to have the Arcane Blacksmith perk before crafting gems in the smelter, but there are no restrictions on grinding gems.

This new ingredient can also be added cleanly to level lists so that soul salts will appear wherever rare alchemical ingredients can be found, be it vendors or sworn enemies, chests, etc.

The next update will include a fomod for the weightless soul salt variant, a version without the black soul gem crafting recipe (lore friendly), and anything else I think of in the meantime. I'm not sure when I'll be able to finish that, but hopefully within this month at least. The model is now fully functional and works perfectly with my knowledge. - Finish

compatibility:

This mod should be compatible with every other mod. I know I've used several other soul gem mods and it works well with them.

Nothing has been changed in the base game either, so for something to be incompatible there has to be something really bad

Rustic Soul Gems by Gamwich, I love the look of these. A must-have for anyone with an aesthetic mind.

The Greedy Soul Gem is multi-threaded by the Eye and is simply a must-have. My mod is a bit outdated as far as soul removal goes, but still.

The smelter's cracked and crafted soul gems are also made from eyes, almost identical to my mod, but if you think my approach is bad, I encourage you to check out his mod.
