They live in small roaming shoals in the snowy mountains of Northern Skyrim and will attack if you close. Snowflakes attack their tail spines, injecting blood-freezing poison. You can harvest stinger powder from their tails and use the substance with the same effect on your weapons.
They are cousins of regular aquatic rays and manta rays.

First appeared on TES: Shadowkey, Snowrays are flying bluish purple manta rays and one of the ancient and now rare original strange fauna of Skyrim, prior to the arrival of the nords, giants and other creatures from Atmora.
They live in small roaming shoals accross the snowhills of north skyrim and will attack if you get to close. Snowrays attack with their tail stingers, that inject a blood freezing poison. You can harvest stinger powder from their tails, and use that substance with that same effects, on your weapons.
They are cousins of the regular aquatic rays and manta rays.
