MOD Description:

This armor mod is my first attempt at making a mod, so please comment if there are any bugs, glitches or issues. So far this is my 8th try at this armor (still "beta") so I decided to upload it, share it in hopes someone finds it useful.

As I mentioned before, I don't consider this mod entirely mine as I use many other mod assets. All credit goes to them.

This set is based on the long-forgotten snow elves, some of Skyrim's first inhabitants, except that their mutated descendants were lost to the modern falmer and now lurk in the abandoned dwemer ruins.

The armor has the same armor class as Daedric Armor in all 4 of his parts (no shields or weapons for this beta version) and yes it is heavy armor. A light and costume version may be made in the future (if this mod doesn't get pushed down). The armor can be crafted and tempered in the same way as normal elven armor, except for the crown, which can be crafted earlier since it only requires iron ingots.

I recommend you not to make this armor too early in the game as it may be a bit OP in the beginning. If you're like me and don't want to play as a Falmer (Snow Elf) and roleplay as a Falmer from the start, then you can start with a basic Falmer armor and then move to Falmer Heritage armor.

How friendly is it? Well...it's an Elf armor, it's white, and it's as friendly as can be!

Disclaimer, please read:

This mod uses the following mods (not required with this version, but I fully recommend installing them only for their individual awesomeness) as a base and I'm not everyone who likes this armor give credit and donations to these talented people and extraordinary imitators (if you don't want to). I personally don't want to thank each of them for their great work that inspired me to make this mod. All credit goes to them. I checked all three mod pages and it seems like they don't mind us making stuff using their mods as long as it's not just a reupload and we give credit, so here it is! <3

Letstryagain, for real light elf armor (for men), from which I took the armor, boots and gauntlet nets, this is top notch and should have been vanilla elf armor from the start.

RefurbMadness, the awesome (and one of my favorites of all armor because it's one of the few light armor models for men) Light Elven Armor for Men. From here I took the crown mesh because I think it's sexy and beautiful. Sadly there is no thong/trunk armor for this version, if the mod author doesn't sue me or something for version 1.0!

CaBaL120, the best textured model uploaded so far, is the aMidianBorn armor. Starting this time, I took aMidianBorn Elven Armor Gold Edition and edited the overall textures to make them whiter. I'm a Paint Tool SAI user, I don't know how to use Photoshop, my best tools are my old wacom pens and my desk, so I did my best not to humiliate this beautiful texture while making it as solid as snow. If you haven't downloaded AmidianBook yet, then I don't know how you play Skyrim.

Frequently Asked Questions:

I found a bug/glitch/something not working, wtf?

Please put all the details in the comments section and I promise I'll check it out before my next update!

I don't like the models/textures/etc, wtf?

The models are awesome, I know because they're not mine. As for the textures, I'm probably making the wrong creative decision and if CaBal120 doesn't tell me to no longer use their textures because of my shame as a digital artist then I can guarantee I will make replacement textures! So far I can add a full white texture and make the leather and mail parts white as well.

I don't want to mess with your crappy production method, it sucks/makes no sense, wtf? …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
