About this mod Machine translation
A script overhaul for my all-time favorite Skyrim mod, making it run faster and be lighter. Includes MCM menu and some custom changes.
Elysees has given a script overhaul to my favorite Skyrim mod of all time, Smokin' Sick Style.
I noticed that when using the original mod of the Elysee Palace in the open world or against many enemies, there was sometimes a noticeable input lag between pressing the hotkey and starting the slashing.
I tried to solve this problem by rewriting all the scripts in a (hopefully) more responsive and performance-friendly way (see technical details for specific changes).
Having to play on a very slow PC at the moment definitely makes a difference for me, but your mileage may vary depending on your PC stats and game settings.
The mod also now features an MCM menu, making it easier to change keybindings, selectively enable/disable individual skills or adjust damage, recharge time, etc.
Finally, there are a number of personal customization changes included, which you can read about below.
Functional changes in this version compared to the original MOD
All skills now have configurable Magicka costs
Dark Slayer style now has a fast slashing effect in all 4 directions, not just forward. Configurable left, right and backstroke distance and speed
Aerial driving can use related skills. MaximumDrive will now use the cross slash attack move instead of the correct power attack
Moment of Judgment's damage and visuals are now compatible with the Exceed system (you can charge initial and subsequent slashes even while using skills). It can now also be used without a combat target, and the slash will appear at a certain distance from where the player character is facing
StylishCombo/Freestyle Katana can now use 1-hand sword, 1-hand dagger, 1h axe, 2h sword and 2h axe (all melee weapons) instead of only using the 2h sword. Add slash in Sprint Power attack
Swordsman Slash deals twice as much damage as FashionCombo, but is also more costly
Table Hopper in Swordmaster mode now supports 8 directions (e.g. pressing FORWARD + LEFT simultaneously) instead of just 4 directions.
Teleported Darkslayer style teleportation
I thought Swordmaster lacked the "Ougi" skill, so I added Tempest there. Also made Tempest compatible with Exceed
The MCM menu configures all settings previously configurable through the S3.ini file, plus some additional settings relevant to my changes
Less script load on the game because fewer scripts need to run in the background for less time
May respond to input faster due to different scripting methods. The actual difference will depend heavily on your PC and gaming setup.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
