Do you use SMIM? Are you a fan of fancy windmills with sails, but hate how small they (and vanilla fans) are in the Presidency? Then this mod is for you!

Just like resizing the SkyMills or Windmills for Oldrim, I've resized the windmill fan and lengthened the shaft so the blades don't dig into the sides of the mill, but I've used Brumbek's mesh from his static mesh improvement module instead of the vanilla mesh. . Both the regular Farmhouse Windmill fan and the large Solitude fan have been increased to 1.5 times their original size.

SMIM is required as I'm not including textures and you should already be using it anyway. I also recommend using Katla's Farm Sail Reangled to clip-on the fan to a nearby farmhouse.

Manual installation: Simply extract the archive contents into the Skyrim SE\Data folder.

Update 8/21/2017: While working on making the Solitude fan bigger, I discovered that it doesn't even use swindmillrotor.nif, which was the file I originally modified. Instead, put the fan into the .nif of the windmill/bridge itself. I've resized this fan and updated the main file with version 1.1 and updated the Solitude screenshots.

Much like SkyMills or Windmills Resized for Oldrim, I've resized the windmill fans and lengthened the axle so the blades don't clip into the side of the mill, but I used Brumbek's meshes from his Static Mesh Improvement Mod instead of the vanilla meshes. Both the regular farmhouse windmill fans and the big Solitude fan have been increased to 1.5x their original size.

Requires SMIM because I'm not including the textures and you should already be using it anyway. I also suggest using Katla's Farm Sail Reangled to fix the the fan clipping into the adjacent farmhouse there.

Manual Installation: Simply extract the contents of the archive to your Skyrim SE\Data folder.

UPDATE 8/21/2017: While fiddling around to try and make the Solitude fan a little bigger, I discovered that it doesn't even use swindmillrotor.nif, which was the file I originally modified. Instead, the fan is baked into the.nif for the windmill/bridge itself. I've resized this fan and updated the main file with it as version 1.1, and updated the Solitude screenshot as well.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
