About this mod Machine translation

Changed food effects to be more interesting and longer lasting.

Overview

I've never found such interesting food in a vanilla game. Its effect is usually equivalent to that of a weak healing potion. Not only did I find it boring, but it didn't fit the game thematically because when you take damage in combat, you want to stop fighting to eat everything in your inventory. The only exception is a homemade meal for your spouse. With this mod, my goal is to make all foods look more like homemade meals, with a fun 10-minute effect.

I see a difference between this mod and some others, such as kryptopyr's Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul or wcpaeb's Cooking In Skyrim, which are more ambitious and far-reaching. I wanted to do something simple that would make the food interesting but completely different from vanilla

special effects

All effects last 10 minutes. The type of effect depends on the type of food. For cooked meals consisting of different food groups, they will have a variety of effects depending on their ingredients. The effect is as follows:

Dairy products - healthy regeneration

Meat - enhances health

Vegetables-Magicka Regen

Fruit-enhanced regeneration

Grains and Starches - Stamina Recovery

Candy - strengthens stamina

Alcoholic beverages are also affected. Restoring stamina is changed to 2 minutes to strengthen stamina. It is also much more powerful, providing 100 or more stamina points. The stamina recovery debuff also lasts 2 minutes and is significantly stronger as well.

Require

Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch

Weapon armor clothing and sundry fixes (not actually required, but highly recommended. Changes from WACCF will be carried over into this mod)

compatibility

Load after mods that make any changes to food.

I will create compatibility patches for future mods that add food. Nothing will break and new foods will have more interesting effects.

Overview

In the vanilla game, I never found food all that interesting. It's effects were typically just equivalent to a weak healing potion. Not only did I find this boring, it did not thematically fit the game in that you would want stop combat to eat everything in your inventory when you became damaged in combat. The one exception to this was the homecooked meal from your spouse.  With this mod, I aim to make all food to be more similar to the effects of the homecooked meal, with slightly interesting 10 minute effects.

I saw slightly  to distinguish this mod from others such as  kryptopyr's Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul or wcpaeb's Cooking In Skyrim which are much more ambitious and far reaching mods. I am going for something simple that makes food interesting but not a radical departure from Vanilla

Effects

All effects last 10 minutes. The type of effect is based on the type of food. For cooked foods that are composed of different food groups, they will have multiple effects based on their components. The effects are as follows:

Dairy -    Health Regen

Meat -    Fortify Health

Veggie - Magicka Regen

Fruit -     Fortify Regen

Grains & Starches -    Stamina Regen

Sweets -        Fortify Stamina

Alcoholic Beverages have also been affected. Restore Stamina is changed to a 2 minute Fortify Stamina. It is also significantly more powerful, giving 100 or more stamina points. The stamina regen debuff also lasts 2 minutes and is also significantly stronger.

Requirements

Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch

Weapons Armor Clothing and Clutter Fixes (Not actually required but highly recommended. Changes from WACCF are carried over to this mod)

Compatibility

Load after mods that make any changes to food.

I will be working on creating compatibility patches for mods that add food in the future. Nothing will break, the new food items just won't have the slightly more interesting effects.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
