A simple mod that allows you to equip ebony and steel plate gauntlets without covering the forearms (this is not a replacement). You can craft them too (using the same materials and Perk requirements, and the same recipe for Ebony Gloves and Steel Plate Gloves respectively)!
Remember, these gloves are for use with long sleeve armor. Take a look at the pictures to see what happens when you equip it with sleeveless armor.
Through trial and error and studying the Creation Kit Wiki about ArmorAddons I learned how to make it into a mod.
Feel free to test it out and experiment, or even combine it with your other armor mods!
Use gloves:
Console command "~" key and type one of the following commands depending on the body armor required:
Help "Ebony Gloves" 4
Help "Steel Gloves" 4...and after finding out the IDs of these items, enter:
player.additem <ID of item> <Number of copies of desired item#>
Get the items in this mod.
Either
Gain the perks required to craft regular ebony and steel plate gauntlets and craft them on an anvil.
