This mod focuses on fixing inconsistencies and incompatibilities between Skyrim VR and the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch (USSEP).
Please do not bother Arthmoor or the unofficial patch team with any issues regarding Skyrim VR. They have officially stated that they will not
Support it at this time and you should respect it regardless of your views on the matter.
To clarify why such a fix is needed:
Skyrim VR is based on version 1.3 of Skyrim Special Edition (SSE). Any updates to Skyrim VR or SSE since then are likely to diverge in various ways.
SSE and Skyrim VR are updated asynchronously. There may be a patch for SSE, while a patch for Skyrim VR is still in the works. Said Skyrim VR patch may or may not contain the same changes as in the SSE patch - they may diverge further, or converge at this point.
Changes will be added to SSE for Creation Club support and never to Skyrim VR. It has been confirmed that Bethesda has no plans to add Creation Club or official modding support to Skyrim VR.
Since USSEP only supports SSE - they must follow and account for changes made to SSE, not Skyrim VR. If any of these changes break compatibility with Skyrim VR, the Unofficial Patch Team is not responsible for said issues or for providing outdated versions of their mods for use with Skyrim VR.
Require
This mod requires Skyrim VR and USSEP. It is not required and does not work with regular SSE.
This mod assumes you are not extracting USSEP's BSA. The only reason you need to do it in the first place is mod development.
compatibility
As long as you don't have USSEP's BSA package open, the SkyrimVR - USSEP compatibility patch is no longer needed as of version 1.2. Due to the new way Skyrim VR's BSA files are loaded, many of the changes in the above patch are effectively redundant as long as USSEP is wrapped in the BSA.
This mod should be compatible with most other VR compatible mods. Make sure to load this mod very early in your load order (preferably after the main game file and USSEP).
assist in development
While I try to keep any major issues introduced by patches to the game up to date with the latest version, I'm not always able to give this mod my full attention. To help improve and keep this mod up to date, there are a few things you can do.
For general mod users
Report any verified issues encountered while using Skyrim VR and USSEP. By "verified" I mean you can reproduce it using only Skyrim VR and USSEP, no other mods. I know this can be troublesome, but when other mods can interfere, it becomes very difficult to fix the problem.

About translation
This mod will restore some translations for users using non-English versions of USSEP.
I don't have time to provide support for the various translation files, but it's actually easy to make a translated version of this mod by loading a translated version of USSEP with this mod in xEdit.
This can be done more easily using the QuickChange Restore feature in matortheeternal's Automation Tools xEdit script. See this article for detailed instructions.
Please include all files and record changes contained in this mod, even if they do not require translation, so users do not have to use a separate (3rd) patch file.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
