Skyrim Voice Control Module (SVCM) for SkyrimVR

describe

================================================== =======

SVCM is a voice control module that allows users to map all their spells, shouts and powers to voice control files (Windows Speech Recognition**). It also has the ability to save and equip gear combinations and manage individual followers. The process is automated as much as possible using Skyrim's scripting language "Papyrus" and the SKSE plugin. This module will handle the loading part, but will not activate the loaded abilities, so the user has more control over the abilities used.

Followers can also map and issue voice commands, see below.

Main features:

Can easily map up to 800 spells/powers

Can easily map up to 100 Shouts

effective response time

Ability to switch equipment status (right/left/double/cycle)

Can issue commands for up to 5 fans

5 left and right hand combo slots for weapons/spells/shields

Quick shout switch

Automatic shout switching

Miscellaneous. feature:

Ability to toggle debug logging as needed

Command to toggle Exp gain for leveling

**Other voice control programs are possible if there is enough community interest.

how it works

==========================

SVCM will loop through all spells and powers to build the list it needs. Shouts can be recorded by equipping and activating a hotkey that tells SVCM to record your current shout. This allows SVCM to create a complete list of spells, powers and shouts no matter what mod you have installed.

In order to map so many potential capabilities, multiple consecutive keystroke inputs were implemented, so instead of being limited to a smaller number of possible combinations (cntl+1, alt+1, shift+1,1), the possibilities are now unlimited (in reason).

To simplify the mapping process, I've implemented the key commands that build the list and then print the complete WSR macro file to the debug log for a simple cut and paste.

compatibility

==========================

SVCM will conflict with any mod that remaps keys on the numpad, or requires the use of control mappings that do not clear numpad bindings. By default MHP should not conflict, but you may have some keypads mapped and will need to unmap them. MHP also uses custom control maps, many of which have unbound keypads and handle requirements.

Initialization issues have been seen when more than 110 modules are loaded.

Install

==========================

First install the Microsoft Speech Recognition Macro and confirm it is working properly.

Secondly, it's better to install SVCM using Mod Manager or Vortex (since skyrimvr doesn't support it natively, there is a workaround on the forum).

Installing SKSEVR for the third time

Four, launch skyrimVR using SKSEVR and start using it =)

Using SVCM

==========================

The first thing to do after the mod is installed is to create a launcher SVCM.WSRmac, sign it and place it in "Documents\Speech Macros". At the bottom of this readme file you will find the macro content. Just highlight and copy to clipboard using cntrl+c. Open File Explorer and go to "Documents\Speech Macros\" and create a new text file and rename it SCVM.WSRmac, then right click and edit, paste the contents into the file using cntrl+v. Save the file, then right-click on it and select "Sign Speech Macro...". If you receive an error that the file cannot be signed, you need to create a new certificate by going to the icon that runs the "Windows Speech Recognition Macro", which is usually located among the hidden …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
