This patch is compatible with the current unofficial Skyrim Special Edition patch and integrates updates to Skyrim Special Edition (the latest version is 1.5.97) into Skyrim VR. Many fixes and changes added to USSEP and SSE since early 2018 can be enjoyed in VR through this patch.

Hundreds of fixes and changes that have been added in SSE and USSEP since the beginning of 2018 can be enjoyed in VR with this patch.

Since the patch merges the latest changes from Skyrim SE into Skyrim VR, compatibility may also be improved for other mods that rely on these latest changes and were previously incompatible with Skyrim VR.

Core module installation

Unzip the archive and run "Skyrim VR Patch Maker.exe". If your Skyrim VR folder is not detected, copy the tool into the "Data" subfolder of your Skyrim VR folder and run it from there. This tool will create a mod archive named "Skyrim VR Core USSEP 4.2.1 and SSE 1.5.97 Compatibility.zip" in its current folder.

Install the created archive as a regular mod in a mod manager such as Mod Organizer 2 or Vortex. It should overwrite the 7 core game files in the Data folder, and if there were 105 loose string files before, they should be overwritten. In MO2, make sure you place it after the 3 DLCs.

Of course, you should also download the current unofficial Skyrim Special Edition patch and install it normally. However, USSEP is not required for the game to still work properly.

If for any reason you have modified (e.g. cleared) your core game files, the tool will first issue a warning without processing those files. In this case, you must re-download the original files (verify the integrity of the game in Steam), then run the patcher and re-apply any additional modifications required to the files within the archive created by the tool.

Due to the large number of changes introduced with this patch and the current version of USSEP, I recommend backing up your save game for good results and retaining multiple saves during playback.

Optional Mod Installation

You can choose to install other compatibility mods in the regular Mod Manager, such as Mod Organizer 2 or Vortex. This is recommended if you are extracting USSEP's BSA files into a loose file, otherwise it is not required. In this case, please load this mod after USSEP in your Mod Manager. As far as I know, Skyrim VR loads its VR ESM master file after all other master files, and its VR BSA archives after all other BSA files, thus eliminating conflicting changes made by USSEP. However, loose files will still load after saving and can overwrite Skyrim VR scripts resolved by this mod.

Language support

Supports English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Polish and Russian.

Japanese and Chinese are not supported

Compatibility with other mods

Unless otherwise noted, all Skyrim VR mods and SKSEVR will continue to work normally.

When used in conjunction with this patch, the April 2018 mod SkyrimVR – USSEP fix may break the marital relationship portion of the game as it reverses some of the changes made by this patch. It will have no additional impact because this patch contains everything that the patch fixes.

The Mod SkyrimVR USSEP compatibility patch from April 2018 will undo one fix to the Warmaster perk and one fix to a zone and will not have any other impact as this patch includes all fixes.

Recommended Mod Skyrim VR USSEP Dwarven Ballista Missing Texture Fix is ​​compatible and not included in this patch.

Mods Animal Tweaks, Complete Cooking and Alchemy Overhaul, Wintersun - Skyrim's Faith and Better Description SSE may have minor compatibility issues with Skyrim VR, fixed after they load/install the included optional compatibility mods - not tested.

To uninstall a patch, simply deactivate/delete the mod from your mod manager like any other mod. …
