Adds working fishing rods, fishing nets, dwarven boom fishing, working fishing gear and many other fishing-themed goodies to Skyrim. Stop trying to catch fish with both hands! Look for a free pole and net in a rowboat on the Riften Canal, or talk to local general merchandise vendors and pharmacies in Riverwood, Whiterun, Riften and Windhelm.

Working Rods and Bait: There are currently three pole traits - all of which can be crafted at any blacksmith shop, or are sometimes sold by several vendors in Skyrim. Quality affects how far you can cast, and how long you have to wait to get nibbles.

Use "Fishing: Use Rod" with less force to plant your rod along the shoreline near some fish. You then have to add the bait by clicking on it and placing something on the "hook". The hook will accept most types of meat, bugs, and other fish, making it a great way to get rid of undesirable foods or ingredients for a chance of getting to better ones.

Different fish prefer different kinds of bait, so again, you're going to have to experiment to see what works. (If you have the right bait and the right area, you have at least a 60% chance of catching the fish you're looking for).

Regional fishing:

Certain fish prefer certain areas. For example, River Betties thrive near the Riften and Dawnstar docks, and Longfin are found on their migration routes near Solitude. You'll stay up to date on which fish prefer which areas, making sport fishing or hunting for ingredients less haphazard than before.

Sightings are on the rise for the elusive Blackreach Albino Catfish, which should be of particular interest to Alchemists. Likewise, the very rare fungus jellyfish is found along the northern coast, often becoming tangled in webs despite the frigid water.

Fishing net:

These can be purchased from certain vendors or crafted at Tanning Rack. You can carry and deploy multiple nets simultaneously to strip your lake or stream of all the fish extremely quickly. ...overfished areas typically require 24-36 game hours to recover.

Use "Fishing: Throw Net" to throw your net at low power, aiming up or down to adjust the distance. Your net will fly a short distance and, if it splashes into water deep enough, will snatch up any nearby bursts, as well as anyone else lurking in the depths that you may not be able to see. Try placing your web in the middle of a large school of fish for the best experience, or take the opportunity to dredge polluted fish-free areas of the world in search of lost treasures. Regional fishing rules apply here as well, so keep your eyes open.

The net attracts butchers, who are instantly killed by fragments of poisonous horker-tusk hooks embedded in the fibers. This can easily damage your net and can be repaired on any Tanning Rack with a few straps.
