Want to bring even more immersion to an already fully immersive experience? Skyrim Unleashed VR breaks away from the final boundary between gaming and real-world experience. Level lists, AI, difficulty, careful design, everything has been redone or rebalanced to optimize the feel and fun inside Skyrim VR.
Skyrim Unleashed VR is a port of the SU2 mod from oldrim. It works really well in VR! It brings a new and perfectly balanced feeling as you tour the wonderful world of Skyrim VR.
Main features:
- Stronger enemies:
Level scaling has been completely redone. Now at the beginning of your adventure, the bad guys are really bad, the wildlife is really wild, and the dangerous places are really dangerous! But don't panic, as you progress in the game you will become stronger, more experienced and more skilled.
- Better AI:
Yes, enemies are dangerous, but they are not stupid: why attack everyone without discernment? Now, when you approach an outside bandit camp, they will warn you and ask you to leave. If you don't (or if you attack) then you will have to take the blame... The same goes for animals that won't try to kill you, instead they will tell you that you are encroaching on their territory. Randomly, you'll run into real bad guys or angry beasts who are in no mood to discuss, but hey, that's life...
- Reward Loot:
The vanilla level scaling of items is very poor: once you hit a certain level *wooosh* orcish weapons/armor are everywhere. Have you reached another level? *Woooosh* ebonite stuff for everyone. Well, that's over: now you can find anything on any level, it's just a matter of luck and common sense. Use the good and rare stuff to be dangerous or powerful, tramps use crap (sadly, there are a lot of tramps in Skyrim). Oh, and if you're playing a wizard, that mechanic also works with spellbooks and robes.
- Enhanced production:
Considering you can find really good stuff at low levels, I can already hear you saying "well it's just another noob's mod that is completely unbalanced and broken". No. First of all, I'm not a noob :) Secondly, when you consider crafting and item improvements, everything is perfectly balanced. In Skyrim, it is always better and more effective to use perfectly improved steel weapons than "factory" bestial weapons, because it is the damage that counts, not the material. So now you need refinement plans to improve items (iron above), and depending on your gear material, these plans can be very rare: while finding or buying refinement plans for steel isn't too complicated, grabbing plans for ebonite (or worse, daedric) can be the biggest quest in your dragon's life. So my advice is: leave your precious hard rubber armor at Breezehome, and use your original old steel armor until you figure out how to refine the hard rubber...
- Real deal:
I have a great new thing: money that is finally going to something. Since it's hard to get rare items from powerful guys, why not save money and buy it to the next blacksmith? Like the world around them, traders may have very valuable items that they can sell quickly. But a rare item will cost a lot of money, and business is business... My advice: develop your presentation skills, look into Beletor's eyes (VR FTW!) and haggle.
- Many other things:
Random: Friendly NPCs have a coherent level with the world around them: civilans are pretty weak, soldiers and guards are really burly. Unique items are unquestionably singular. Jewelry can make you a rich man. etc...
- Unlock DLC items:
DLC items including crossbows, stalhrim gear, etc. can now be used/sold by any NPC anywhere in Skyrim.
Skyrim Unleashes Fools:
- Find a partner as soon as possible: after Helgen, you are a vulnerable civilian, so hire someone who knows how to use a weapon. As you get better at combat (understand at a higher level), maybe you'll be able to survive without help.
- Train yourself: Even the greatest warriors are new. So find a way to make money and buy some training courses for you in tow …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
