Skyrim Special Edition & Enderal (Steam) Alchemy Calculator - Desktop App, .NET
This is the Alchemy Calculator app (ReAlchemy) for TES V: Skyrim SE (with all DLC + unofficial Skyrim SE patches) and Enderal (Steam standalone version).
I've remade the Skyrim Requiem Alchemy calculator to use vanilla ingredients and perks because I'm tired of waiting for SKSE64 to work and want to play the game through Skyrim SE once and for all.
Basically - I made it mainly for myself, but if it works for me, others may find it useful too.
I know, there are thousands of alchemical calculation sites and mobile apps.
But this is a side mod that adds a "Scribe Component" altering spell to the player's spellbook.
What it does - It writes the player's alchemy level, perks, and a list of ingredients the player is carrying to a papyrus log file. Later calculators can read the exported data. This saves a lot of time trying to do this manually.
Companion Spells requires you to have all DLC in this loadout order:
horizon
update.esm
Dawnguard
HearthFires.esm
Dragonborn.esm
Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch.esp
<Any other mod, including IngrScribe.esp>
For the Enderal companion module - there are no requirements, just extract the files to the %SteamFolder%\steamapps\common\Enderal\Data folder and enable it in the Enderal launcher.
IMPORTANT: For the companion spell to work, you need to enable Papyrus debug logging in your computer
%My Documents%\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\Skyrim.ini
or (%My Documents%\My Games\Enderal\Enderal.ini) as Enderal.
Edit or add the following settings:
[Papyrus]
bEnableLogging = 1
bEnableTrace = 1
bLoadDebugInformation = 1
The latest ReAlchemy versions check if these settings are set at runtime and ask you if you want to resolve this issue. If you are not afraid of this app messing up your profile - allow this.
After using that spelling - press "Load Lined" button in Desktop App and it will load all the data. Spelling takes a while (5-20 seconds), especially if there are a lot of other mods - please wait for "{num} ingredients to be written". information.
Install:
You can use the installer version or the portable version.
The installer should be aware of .NET dependencies, but administrative rights are usually required.
The default folder is "Program Files (x86)\ReAlchemy".
After installing the program, you should find the ReAlchemy icon on your desktop. To uninstall - use regular Windows tools.
The installer should overwrite the old version, but it's not a bad idea to uninstall the old version before installing the new one.
For portable version - you can extract to any location (separate folder recommended) and run from there.
When running the portable version, you can use the File->Create Desktop Shortcut menu item.
troubleshooting:
If the desktop application does not load the component, check if AlchemyLog.0.log exists in the folder "%My Documents%\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\Logs\Script\User".
You can try creating this folder and then using that spelling again, some users reported that this worked for them.
If the above file is not generated, double check that the settings in the [Papyrus] section of Skyrim.ini are correct, make sure that a mod manager such as Vortex or ModOrganizer has not replaced Skyrim.ini, you will have to change the ini settings in the mod manager selection.
The application will check to see if the log location folder exists - you may be prompted to create a folder, or navigate to your log location.
If you want to change the log location later, use the top menu "File" -> "Set Load Strike Location".
If you think you have corrupted the database in some way, you can reset it to the original database (included with installation) by:
- Make sure the application is not running
- Delete %User Folder%\AppData\Local\ReAlchemy\db\*. db file
- Run the application again and it will copy the original database from its folder to the usual location.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
