attribute value application

Attributes are back to being an integral part of character creation and development.

Ten properties affect three features each (details below), as well as an easy-to-use custom MCM menu. The Race you choose will determine the base attributes; from there you can assign the remaining attributes as needed, thereby increasing the effectiveness of each characteristic of those attributes.

detail

How does this work:

The minimum value for each attribute is 6 and the maximum value is 21. Vanilla is about 11.

This range provides vanilla values approximately 25% to 75% lower than vanilla values.

During the initial distribution, attributes can be increased by +8, including your racial base.

Each skill is assigned 3 attributes. Once you improve your skills (40 and 80), you can increase one of these three attributes.

Improving attributes will increase relevant traits.

There are several attributes that affect base values and provide additional benefits when leveling up (health, mana, stamina, carrying weight, spell count).

Wait...what do you mean spell count:

Intelligence affects the number of spells you can learn (not exactly a killer, but always makes sense in other RPGs IMO).

This spell's maximum value increases exponentially (like other traits, it increases linearly).

You can learn and unlearn spells by reading its spellbook, so you can switch it at any time if maxed out.

To make the above point easier, spellbooks are no longer consumed when learning spells (I never understood that).

This system only works for spells learned through the Spell Book (and the method used is 100% compatible with the mode of adding spells).

Reference: View details of how each attribute point affects associated features.

Attributes: Use the slider to assign attribute points. Highlight a property to see how the current value affects Traits.

Be sure to click the "Save Properties" toggle. This is required for many Ava components to work.

SkyRem

What is SkyRem? My [limited] modding focus is on creating role-playing based mods. SkyRem (Skyrim Roleplaying Enhancement Mod) will be a collection of these mods designed to work together but can be used individually.

Conceptually, I plan to use my SkyRem series for:

Enhance the role-playing experience.

Works seamlessly alone or with any combination of SkyRem mods.

Fully compatible with all other mods (except mods that share the same scope, of course... usually).

compatibility

Mods that change health, magic, and/or stamina (base and increased) may conflict. Mods like uncapper (I use a custom one) may need to be adjusted in this regard. Otherwise it should be 100% compatible as very little vanilla recording has been changed (just a few game settings) and everything else is custom added.

This applies to any overhaul of competitions, courses, etc.

Mods that add spells do not interfere with spell learning limits. The script that controls this action is dynamically added to any spell library you use. If the spell is added by other means, it does not affect the limit.

Speed fixes are simplified due to the nature of the Agility property. No additional speed fix modules are required.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
