xEdit script for Spell Perk Item distribution server to make ini files.
The Spell Perk Item Distributor mod by powerofthree is an incredible mod that uses the SKSE plugin to add spells/perks/items via configuration files to every NPC in the game. But dealing with config files for mods with hundreds of spells or items can be difficult. That's why I made this script.
For installation, just unzip the 3 files and place them in the "Edit Scripts" of the SSEEdit folder.
To use the script, open the mod you want to use it with in SSEEdit. Then highlight only the spells/perks/items you want to add to the NPC. You can select spells/perks/items from multiple mods, but do not mix spells, perks, and items with each other when selecting. Choose only one of the three.
(This will cause problems if an alternative is highlighted. Select the original alternative. For example, to add the Ordinator perk, select the original perk to replace in Skyrim.esm, not the Ordinator-Perks of Skyrim.esp)
(Some spells, perks, and items are not actual spells, perks, and items available in the game, but dummy spells, perks, and items added to make the mod work properly. You can usually tell by looking at the editor ID. Don't select them.)
Then right-click on one of the highlighted items and select "Apply Script...". In the pop-up window, open the list and find the required script. You can also use the search bar.
There are 3 separate scripts, one for spells, perks and items. Don't use the wrong one. For the "Export reseller's spells" script, select only the spells; for "Export reseller's perks", select only the perks; for "Export reseller's items", select only the items.
Click OK, wait for the script to complete, and then select the location where you want to save the ini file. By default, it is saved in the Data folder, so you can click Save without changing anything. If you run SSEEdit from MO2, it will be saved in the overlay folder.
You can rename the first part of the ini file (SpellModname, PerkModname, ItemModname), but the "_DISTR" part must not be changed, otherwise it will not work.
By default, these scripts are added to all NPCs. If you want to add to bio as well, after selecting script, scroll down the section with code, find the "Keywords" section and replace it with "||". ActorTypeNPC' and '|ActorTypeNPC, ActorTypeCreature'. You can also change the ActorTypeNPC using other keywords. For example, replacing it with ActorTypeUndead will add it to the undead instead of all NPCs.
You can add additional filters by replacing the "None" position. The first is the formID of the filter, the second is the lowest level, and the last is the gender. For more details, check out the Spell Perk Item Distributor's mod page.
By default, the project script provides 1 per project. You can edit it in the script or later in the "ItemModName__DISTR.ini" you create.
I recommend using the FIZZLE mod to ensure that NPCs don't cast spells beyond their abilities. If too many NPCs with glowing effects annoy you, you can also try Glow Be Gone SKSE Updated.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
