About this mod Machine translation
A simple mod that makes Skyrim's vanilla food and drink more useful by granting minor but persistent buffs to the player's stats.
The purpose of simple food overhaul is to make food and drinks more useful. Consuming food will give the player a small but lasting buff, similar to how buff food works in many MMORPGs. These buffs are generally less effective than potions, but last longer.
Simple Food Overhaul is a lightweight, scriptless mod that should be compatible with any mod that doesn't edit vanilla food and drink items.
This mod affects all food and drink items in the base game + DLC except raw meat/fish and some "ingredient" type items (such as butter and flour). Most foods will enhance the player's health, stamina, or magic regeneration, and add auxiliary buffs such as increased weight, enhanced destruction, etc.
Generally speaking, the more difficult it is to obtain an item, the stronger its effect. For example, the Mammoth Steak gives the player a stronger buff than the Rabbit Belt.

This is the first version of this mod. Some things may be unbalanced and/or unstable. If you have suggestions or find inconsistencies, please let me know.
Install:
Use Mod Manager to install or manually extract the contents of the .7z file into the /Steam/steamapps/common/Skyrim Special Edition/Data folder.
Uninstall:
When uninstalling, it is recommended to revert to an old save file from before installing the mod to ensure that the uninstall does not cause any problems (for more information, see: Mods_and_Savegames).
However, since the mod only edits the item's statistics and doesn't use any scripts, you can just fine uninstall it during playback. I recommend that you make sure there are no active food lovers when uninstalling the mod. Do so at your own risk. It's always recommended to revert to an earlier save instead if possible.
compatibility:
Simple Food Overhaul should be compatible with any mod that does not alter vanilla food and drink. Food and drink items added by other mods are not affected by my mod's changes.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
