Simple follower manager
A simple and lightweight mod I created for my personal game. I personally wouldn't use the larger, more powerful AFT or EFT because I don't bring more than one companion with me at a time due to the imbalance of gameplay in the game.
I wanted a simple management system that would allow me to provide my followers with custom outfits for different scenarios, whether they were adventuring, relaxing at home, or sleeping. The equipment will automatically switch when needed. This has a very light Papyrus load, no "polling" happens, it's just done in Skyrim itself when the rig is evaluated (whenever the actor changes cells).
I also want to move my followers with me to any custom player home or default home and actually use the home. Therefore, this mod allows you to designate "areas" for your followers to sleep, relax, eat, and bathe. Once the area is determined and simply requires the follower to live with you, a personal AI package will be initiated, with each of the 10 slots having its own schedule for the follower to eat/sleep/wash/relax at different times of the day.
Why only 10 slots?
Personally, I usually don't have more than 5 or 6 followers living with me at the same time. So I don't need more than 10 slots.
How to use:
Talk to your follower and you will have a new dialogue option "Manage with SFM". Then selecting Manage Followers will open the gear and family conversation options.
Require:
SKSE64 is not required. Can be anywhere in your load order. It doesn't have any assets or modify any default tasks/assets.
Notice:
SFM can be used as a resource for creating custom followers to add a simple, flexible and lightweight way to manage follower outfits or living arrangements. I'm actually using the same mechanism in the soon-to-be-released Faye custom voiced follower. If you want to know how to achieve this without requiring SKSE64, you can provide the source code in the BSA file.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
