The arrow automatically cancels after the shot, then (if you have more), the arrow will start again after pressing the A button on the right shoulder

Realistic archery options inspired by MageVR. Apart from being greatly simplified, it behaves the same and has a larger and more forgiving quiver space.

This mod will disarm your arrow when you shoot it and re-equip it when you press the A button on your right shoulder; that's all.

I made this for myself because I was tired of grabbing my arrows to accidentally trigger MageVR's wrist menu, I found the size of his quiver a bit small, and I kept missing my arrows.

There is a fomod installer that allows you to select the button you want to use for the grab arrow, you can choose A Button, B Button, Stick Click, Grab or Trigger. If I wanted to, later on, I might add an MCM for this.

Install:

Install like any other mod; load order doesn't matter. Make sure you ask for it.

The new version has a fomod installer to select your buttons; if you are using VRIK controller mapping, select "Paste" in my installer to use A buttons for arrow rigging.

uninstall:

Remove the mod, since this is a script, use save cleaner. Uninstalling may be fine, but don't blame me if it saves your savings.

performance:

I use a very heavily written load sequence and it works fine for me; it uses the VR Tools OnVRButtonEvent and OnVROverlapEvent events as well as the OnPlayerBowShot event, so that's it, OnPlayerBowShot is only called on the bow arrow, but the other events are called on all button events, but really only if the event is that you've pressed the A button on your right shoulder.

integral:

frazaman's Skyrim VR Tools made this possible, SKSE made it possible, and AWildMuKen gave me the idea with his mod.

I used PapyrusVR.psc and the Repo's readme file to solve most of the problems. The Skyrim VR Tools are very simple to use and very easy to use.

Also: If you come to Lara, you'll get her ability to get arrows in VR more than anything else; if you look closely at the picture, you can see that she's pressing the A button to equip her arrows.

Inspired by MageVR's Realistic Archery option.  This behaves the same, except much simplified, and has a larger and much more forgiving quiver space.

This mod will unequip your arrow when you shoot it and reequip it when you press the A button over your right shoulder; that is all.

I made this for myself because I was tired of accidentally triggering MageVR's wrist menus when grabbing my arrows, and I found the size of his quiver to be a little too small, I kept missing my arrows.

There's a fomod installer to select which button you want to use for grabbing your arrow, you can choose the A Button, B Button, Stick Click, Grab, or Trigger.  If I feel like it, later on, I might add an MCM for this instead.

Installation:

Install like any other mod; load order does not matter.  Make sure you have the Requirements.

New Version has a fomod installer to pick your button; if you're using the VRIK controller mapping, select stick click in my installer to use the A button for arrow equipping.

Uninstall:

Remove the mod, and because this is scripted, use a save cleaner.  Uninstalling is probably fine, but don't blame me if it borks your save.

Performance:

I play with a pretty heavily scripted load order, and it works fine for me; it uses VR Tools OnVRButtonEvent and OnVROverlapEvent events, and the OnPlayerBowShot event, so take that for what it is, the OnPlayerBowShot only gets called on bow shots, but the others get called on all button events, but only actually does anything if the event is that you've pressed the A button over your right shoulder.

frazaman's Skyrim VR Tools makes this possible, SKSE made that possible, and AWildMuKen gave me the idea for this with his mod.

I used PapyrusVR.psc and that Repo's Readme to figure out most of this, Skyrim VR Tools is pretty simple to use, very good work …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
