- Shor's Stone -
ClefJ version
I was trying to get a new player into home mode - since I was hugely inspired by Nahkin's Lonely Shack dwelling - and it shifted to me wanting to transform the small mining area of Shor's Stone into something more solid; Riften's Riverwood. I think the NPC has an interesting dialogue and there is a marriage option in town. This is a simple modification of the settlement to make it more like a pleasant medieval town.
It requires the Hearthfire expansion.
Features of this version:
- A new free player. Small, has a basic crafting station and fair amount of storage space.
(This home is multi-mod friendly - has 2 spare beds + master)
- A pair of new merchants and a horse's stable near their home.
- If Redbelly Mine's spiders respawn, all standard NPCs in the town will be set to Essential/Protected.
- Added more livestock and a small garden for crops.
- Darkrder's mural painting resources!
Thanks again Nozi for such a wonderful video endorsement.
I haven't had time to do anything dungeon-related looking for house keys lately, so now it's ready to go. With these modifications, I hope more people can have fun with Shor's Stone - the name itself fits the dragon family living here, doesn't it?
Incompatibility issues:
- Anything that modifies Shor's Stone cells can be harmful, as the wall surrounds the entire town.
If there's anything you think I should use in this mod, please let me know!

- Shor's Stone -
ClefJ Edition
I was trying to make a new player home mod - as I was inspired heavily by the Lonely Shack home by Nahkin - and it moved up to me wanting to remake the small mining settlement of Shor's Stone into something a little more fortified; the Riverwood of Riften. The NPC's had interesting dialogue I thought, and with a marriage option in town to boot. This is a simple modification of the settlement to make it more like a pleasant medieval town.
It requires the Hearthfire expansion.
This edition features:
- A new, free player home. Small, with basic crafting stations and fair storage.
(This home is Multiple Adoption mod friendly- with 2 spare beds + masters)
- A new pair of merchants and their home near a single stable for a horse.
- All the standard NPC's of the town are set to Essential/Protected in case those spiders in Redbelly Mine respawn.
- More livestock added, and a small garden for crops.
- Wall-art painting resources by Darkrder!
And thank you once more Nozi for such a wonderful video endorsement.
I haven't had the time lately to make any dungeon-related hunt for a key to the house, so for now it's move-in ready. With these modifications, I hope more people have fun with and stay around Shor's Stone - The name itself is fitting for a Dragonborn to live here, no?
Incompatibilities:
- Anything modifying the Shor's Stone cells might be hurtful, as the walls made encompass the whole town.
If there's anything you think I should work with in this mod, please let me know!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
