Zemaria created this mod and gave me permission to port it to SE, and the author's overview says, "This mod will add some creativity. I'm the associate dean."
Zemaria created this excellent mod and allowed me to port it to SE, which I used to create this beautiful Khajiit:
Khajiit in the video above wasn't my idea either, the idea came from this youtuber: Shiyozushi Games, all credits to him:

Oldrim instructions (please ignore the Dragonborn and Dawnguard parts of these patches that I haven't ported).
(For those of you who have downloaded this mod before, please review the instructions again. I've added some new content, and the mod now functions very differently.)
---------------------------------------
This mod will add various armored greaves and leggings. It will also add some shoes for more customization options, or... you can go barefoot. Shin guards and shin wraps will take up 56 slots, and shoes take up 37 slots (for those who don't know, regular foot/boot slots). After checking out some popular mods that add extra equipment using different slots, I'm confident that the one I chose won't conflict with many mods out there, so have fun!
How it works:
As mentioned, the shin guards will use 56 slots. This means you can still use any boot with shins, but if you do, beware of some nasty cuts! Grease can be made and tempered using the same materials as boots. You'll also need the right perks to create some of them, just like regular boots (for things like wolf boots, nightingale boots, etc., you can craft their greaves, whatever that is). Greaves also have the same properties as boots. The shoes are for decorative purposes only and do not give you additional defense or add weight. You only need to use a single "strip of leather" to make all your shoes. They can be made at no extra cost.
Some things to consider:
-I may not be able to get support for the weight slider in most shin guards. Since the foot mesh is no longer connected to the Greaves mesh and we also have shoes to add more customization options, adjusting all of this to avoid clipping would be a nightmare for me. Overall, it can be said that some greases can appear more bulky. It's more noticeable in the male's greaves, but I think it's still okay.
-Speaking of shoes, if you use them without grease, you'll notice that they look...well...terrible. Invisible graves and so on. I'm not going to solve this problem. I had to adjust the shoes this way so the grease wouldn't get trapped. Just cover with grease and you're good to go.
-I haven't adjusted all the grease to support the new shoes yet, so if you want to equip some of these, especially if you're playing a male character, expect a cut. You can still use them with bare feet.
Things I still want to do:
- Added more greaves.
-Adjust more grease to support the shoe.
-Add more shoes.
- Fixed some cropping issues
Any feedback might be helpful! If you have any suggestions or find any bugs, please feel free to let me know.
How it looks so far...
If you have any older version of this mod installed, please uninstall it before installing this mod. If you must cancel the installation manually, delete the following files:
"Data/Requirements for capirotinho.esp"
"data/grids/gabgreaves"
(The name of the esp may be different depending on the version you have installed, but if you see "capirotinho's hair" you will know the correct .esp to delete).
recommend:
If you want to be a crazy barbarian, amazon, horde kind of guy (or maybe you're a khakijit or argon guy) playing hardcore and ignoring shoes, then you might want to get better results with one of the mods that replaces the vanilla foot mesh if you haven't done so already. Here are some good mods that do this:
(UNP institution)
(CBBE Body)
(male body)
(for khakis and argon planters)

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
