About this mod Machine translation

Shape allows you to modify almost any spell, enchantment, call, or power in the game in various ways.

Scrabble adds a detailed MCM menu where you can modify spells, enchantments, shouts, and powers during gameplay. Unlike other mods that can make general changes to one or more magic types, Spellshaping lets you tweak individual spells. You can do this to make Fireball triple the range but take longer to cast, or to balance out a specific spell or enchantment that you feel is too powerful. You can use this mod however you wish.

Spell shaping allows you to modify the following aspects of a spell or power:

Magnitude (e.g. how much damage was done, how much healing was done, how high level enemies were affected)

Scope of influence

duration

Delivery time

Two hands required (e.g. you can do it so a master level ritual spell doesn't require two hands to cast)

Not all spells have all five options (for example, Quick Recovery has no duration, so there are no options to modify its duration).

You can modify the following aspects of the enchantment:

Amplitude (the strength of the enchantment; increasing the amplitude through Spellshaping does not increase the enchanted item's value)

duration

Note: Modifying an enchantment using SpellShape will retroactively change pre-existing items with that enchantment (e.g., enchantment items sold in the store), which will affect the enchantment's effect on items you craft in the future, but will not retroactively change the item you were enchanted with before modifying the enchantment.

You can modify the following aspects of shouting:

Speak one word to recharge

Recharge two words

Recharge three spoken words

The orthographic menu does not represent what a person is doing; it is more like a menu of options. Changes you make to a spell also affect the enemy's version of the spell. So if you reduce the power of the Relentless Force, the next battle with Drago Deathlord will be very loud.

Scrabble spelling does not overwrite any files; changes you make to your spells are made on the fly via the script. Therefore, it should be compatible with mods that modify existing spells, enchantments, calls, or abilities, and Spellshaping should be able to detect the changes made by these mods. Spellshaping also features compatibility patches with EnaiSiaion's excellent mods Apocalypse, Summermyst, and Thunderchild, allowing you to modify those mods' spells, enchantments, and shouts.

Any changes you make using Spellshaping will persist across saves, so if you start a new game there's no need to go back to the menu and make changes again. You can safely install Spellshaping in the middle of a playback session, or remove it: uninstalling Spellshaping will remove all its changes until it is installed again.

Spellshaping adds a detailed MCM menu which lets you modify spells, enchantments, shouts, and powers in the middle of the game. Unlike other mods which make general changes to one type of magic or another, Spellshaping lets you tweak individual spells. You could make it so Fireball has three times the area of effect but takes longer to cast, or you could balance specific spells or enchantments you thought were too powerful. What you do with this mod is up to you.

Spellshaping lets you modify the following aspects of a spell or power:

Area of Effect

Duration

Casting Time

Hands Required (e.g. you could make it so Master-level ritual spells don't need two hands to cast)

Not all spells have all five of these options available (e.g. Fast Healing has no duration, so there's no option to modify its duration).

You can modify the following aspects of an enchantment:

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
