The main reason I prefer Wounds over Vitality is that Wounds hurt in-game, while Vitality hurts in real time. With wounds, wounds last longer and need to be dealt with through rest and killing time. After 20 full seconds of life, Vigor's wounds were healed.
I made some simple changes to Vigor's heal damage script, changing it from checking every 5 seconds (quadruple 20 seconds) to every 48 game hours (excluding the last check of 24 hours) to make the wound last for 7 in-game days. Additionally, the health required to pass the check is no longer 100%, but 51%, meaning you must maintain above 50% health when checking. The chance of you getting some slight health reduction is reduced when you take one of these checks.
Additionally, the duration of trauma and injury has increased. Now, the trauma is so prolonged that 7 days of rest is basically the only treatment (to encourage the use of cellulite or other ways to pass the time). Damage has been increased to 1 hour, but can be healed after 24 hours of rest in the game. Bleeding did not change.
Additionally, I have provided a version that supports (DMC) the Vigor Combat Fatigue integration (which I recommend).

The major reason I tend to prefer Wounds over Vigor is that injuries from Wounds are in-game time, while Vigor's injuries are real-time. With Wounds, the injuries are longer lasting and need to be dealt with by resting and passing time. Vigor's injuries are healed after 20 real time seconds at full health.
I have made some simple changes to Vigor's heal injury script, changing the check that happens every 5 seconds (four times to equal 20 seconds), to every 48 in-game hours (except 24 on the last check) to make the trauma last 7 days in-game time. Additionally, the health needed to pass the checks is no longer 100%, but 51%, meaning you must stay above 50% health at the time of the checks. It was reduced on the off-chance you receive some minor health reduction during one of the checks.
Additionally, the duration of traumas and injuries have been increased. Traumas are now so long that 7 days rest is basically the only cure outside of poultices (to encourage the use of poultices, or other activities to pass the time). Injuries have been increased to 1 hour, but can be healed after 24 hours in-game rest. Bleeding was not changed.
Also, I have included a version with support for (DMC) Vigor Combat Fatigue Integration (which I recommend).

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
