About this mod Machine translation
Added some trees to Whiterun for a bit of greenery. Simple, well placed pine, navmesh reworked, cleaned up in xEdit.
This mod does what it says and only that. It adds several trees to Whiterun. The trees are pine, small to medium sized. I think I added about 30 or so. I place them organically and logically (I think!).
Navigation meshes have been adjusted so NPCs don't blindly crush them! The .esp has been cleaned using xEdit.
I made this mod because I wanted a correct look for the town of Whiterun. Not a lot of trees, just enough to make the town look less dry and devoid of vegetation, like a vanilla town.
There are other great landscaping makeovers that add trees to Whiterun, but they either add different types of trees (and I wanted something 'native' to Whiterun Hold, hence the pine trees), or they add a lot of really big, really tall trees, which is really cool, but it bothers me that the tree LODs are never right unless you're playing with Open City. With my mod, the trees are smaller (with a few exceptions), so the tree LOD for viewing the inner trees from a distance isn't necessary since the trees are behind the wall (though I suppose coming down from Riverwood you can still see, so I can play with a separate LOD later if I can manage it).
What else...this is it. A very light plugin.
compatibility
JK's Whiterun: It might be compatible, but I don't use that mod so I don't know. If the tree clips, you can disable it via the console.
Open City: No
Not compatible with any other mod that adds trees to Whiterun.
Compatible with Flora Overhaul.
Compatible with SBT, although the trees are larger, there may be some foliage crowding. Again, my point is that trees are smaller than other mods and having fewer trees is a problem to bypass the tree LOD, so it's up to you if you want to use them both.
Can be uninstalled at any time without risk of corrupting your save.
Let me know any questions/suggestions in the post!

I made this mod because I wanted just the right type of look for Whiterun town. Not a lot of trees, just enough to make the town look less dried out and devoid of vegetation, as is the vanilla town.
There are other great landscape mods for Whiterun that add trees, but they either add different types of trees (whereas I wanted something 'indigenous' to Whiterun Hold, hence the pines), or they add a lot of very large, very tall trees, which is really great too, but it bothered me that the tree LODs could never be right unless you played with Open Cities. With my mod, the trees are smaller (with a few exceptions), so a tree LOD for seeing the interior trees from afar isn't really necessary, as the trees are behind the walls (although I suppose coming down from Riverwood, you can still see in, so I may toy around with a separate LOD later on, if I can manage it).
What else...that's about it. A very light plug-in all in all.
COMPATIBILITY

Open Cities: Nope
Not compatible with any other mod that adds trees to Whiterun.
Compatible with flora overhauls.
Compatible with SBT, although with the trees being bigger, it might get a bit crowded with foliage. And again, my point with having smaller, fewer trees than other mods was to circumvent the issue with tree LODs, so it's up to you if you want to use both.
Can be uninstalled at any time without risk of corrupting save.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
