Plans in progress
As of now, I've started playing with more variables and looking into quest rewards. I've realized there are a lot of areas I can go to to further improve all of these areas, such as in terms of Quest rewards, Radiant Quest rewards, and crime costs. I believe these may be updated during the save process as I play around with the script, but I can guarantee I'll be trying this for a long time after making these changes. I'm still trying to find a good way to fine tune Quest Rewards better, and I think I might reduce the options available since I won't be able to customize it without a ton of FOMOD options.
BTW, I also feel the loot needs to be tweaked to offset these changes, and I think I'll do that in a completely separate set of mods. I draw a lot of mod inspiration from these modifications (Unique Loot, Overhaul, SkyTEST) and I believe that in all of them I can refine and improve some untouched areas and try my own creative spin. their changes. Typically, these mods also skip "Boss Chest" type drops. I've been looking for mods that do touch on these, and I don't agree with their take on what they modify and how they do it.
So, in summary, this is the current plan:
Adjust mission rewards such as (radiation, DB\Thieves Guild missions, bounties, etc.)
Adjusting the cost of crime
Try the second module to make the dropdown more "immersive" (e.g. mobs don't drop treasures)
Try splitting the third mod into two parts: adjusting random loot in all miscellaneous containers, and adjusting one of all "boss" containers
All of these steps go beyond "cost of service" and into a more "economical overhaul" phase, but I'm going to keep everything as separate plugins to mitigate the problem. I'm also using my own modlist that contains some of the more popular mods on SE, and I plan to maintain general compatibility and include load order suggestions.
Contains multiplier
Defaults: 1.5x, 2x and my own favorite custom multiplier.
describe
This is just an .esp with all the global variables that affect the service, such as transportation costs, hotel rentals, vanilla housing costs, fireplace fire costs, hire costs, troll costs, and ferry costs. Changing the values of the variables present in this mod and keeping them at the lower end of the load order will allow you to have your own custom costs for all of these services. If you do this during the save process, you will be charged a custom amount, but the dialog box will not honor those custom amounts. In order for the dialog to match, you need to start the newsletter with this file loaded.
It's very simple to do this, but as far as I know, no one uploads such a file for SE.
Briefly describe the order in which each variable is sorted by the ESM it is in

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
